8 min preview of my upcoming drifts..

Lo all i have this thing i want to ask for your oppinion on.

I´m starting to get a quite big archive of drifts (Only been driftin for a bit over a month i know but still...) and i started to think what to do with them all.
So, now i have narrowed it down to two different options.
1. Many videos @ ~20MB/piece
2. One large one @ ~200MB.

Want to know what u think seems most ... intelligent?

Ivé made a preview (just love the word. :p) with the following cars:
Aston Martin Vanquish @ ~700 HP
Corvette Z06 @ ~400 HP (and a stock one)
Ford Mustang @ (Dont remember HP right now will ad it later
Honda S2000 @ ~350 HP
Silvia S13 @ ~220 HP
Mazda RX-7 Infini III @ ~230 HP
Tom´s Chaser 540 (unsure of name) @ ~300 bhp.
TVR Tuscan 6 @ (dont remember this one either). :banghead:

Total length of movie : 8 min 13 sec (Something)
Size *giggle* 28MB. (sorry guys, there is no way to make this any smaller, looks like cr*p if i do)

Ok, watched the vid. Ok, first off the drifts were ok, but you need to work on keeping the car on the road, and out of the kitty litter IMO. Also, I think you can get more angle on some of your drifts, especially using the wheel. Anyway, it looks like you have promise. Keep practicing. Also, I think you should put out 20mb vids, because no one is going to download a 200mb vid, let alone watch it IMHO.;)

Doogee, welcome to GTP. Just keep practicing and you'll get the hang of it. Remember this mantra: Patience, practice, and practice patience....

BAZZ......I'm so happy to see your persistance and dedication. You are truly one of the most talented drifters here. I judge talent as part skill and part potential, and you have an insane amount of both.

I'm not going to give you an opinion of what I want to see because drifting comes from the heart. It's a very personal experience.....you can learn from others, but your video comes from somewhere deeper. Editing, music, choice of corners....it's all part of your own unique style.
Keep it up!!!!
 
I might get a wheel soon, it would take some getting used to but If it could make my drifts look like that in the end then it would all be worth it!
 
Nicely done, BAZZ. (FFX song, btw? :P) You seem to be in synch with each car's behavior... pretty smooth. The S2000 and Corvette ones are especially my fave! :) Out of curiousity, on your exits, are you still holding the accel most of the time?
 
I suggest not making one long movie or a lot of shorter ones. Take your best stuff; only your best and spend a month editing and timing it to the perfect song of your choice. When you are done you will truly have something special. If you just pump out a new movie every week people will get bored no matter how good the drifts are.

I happen to like letting the rearwheels go a bit to wide or into the "kitty litter". Think it looks.... Odd and a bit c*cky. :D
Angle on the other side is something i know i need to practice but, the thing is that i dont wanna get bored of drifting and i think that if i dont do what i think is fun first of all, and work out from that, i will get bored. U see my point?

I (to be honest) dont always keep the accel when exiting corners, dont think i can handle it quite good yet on high HP cars i get scared most of the time. :D And yeah. FFX. (=



I will do seperate files from now on. Ivé got 2.8 GB of captured drift movies so i´m gonna start working on something... Someday it takes forever for me to make the movies. Dont have a capture card in my "fast" puter. Only got a 800 PIII with a editing card. This is not the best drifts i have made, this is just a.. Preview (yum, love the word)

Once again. Thank you guys. Most u here are a inspiration for me so i will keep on practicing and ill see you later. Now. Worktime.:mad:

Personally, I prefer a cleaner looking drift, but Whatever works for ya. ;)

I like them too.. If they are smooooth and all. However. Noticed (for five mins ago) that the shelby clip, or to be specific, the one with the first curves of Laguna Seca should not even be in the video.. :S That sorta drifting is not what i will include in future drifting videos.
But the last clip with the S13 was intentional to bring along.

Will do better next time though. Hopefully. (=

Thats my style too. I love it when I can drift so close to the edge and then just barely touch the edge. Going into the kitty little with just one wheel is cool. I think the reason why I like it is because its risky, you aim to only get that one wheel on the edge and not two... because then its like you messed up.

"I got this from watching the movie "Driver" where the F1 racers drifts the rear out just enough to pick up the coins on the road."
 
i wanted to try and pick up a cone on the side of the car inn rome and keep drifting but i couldn't get enuf angle with a rwd and i can't try my skyline now

Usually when I want to pick up a cone, I just drive to the Ice cream parlor :lol: :lol: :lol:

firstly hey dan i noticed you joined up! secondly thats sum mad drifting but you can go further your not pushing your car hard enough. i do the same with mine i think its a mad drift but in the replays it shows how much space i had left to go much better. you do have an advantage using a wheel and all but still i cant afford to fork out $200 for one at the moment. your also using high price cars in your drifts. i tried to get my vanquish to drift but no luck. my speed 6 drifts well but my speed 12 dont <once again thank you dan now all it does is wheel spin. its mad fun but no drifting:D > i think if you study the other driftvideos aaliable on this site and others real and gt3 then you will learn more about making one and drifting as an art form. i would give you 7/10 good job but it can be way better.
 
Oh!!

Very nice Drift! the corvette do 900 degres. Impressive! and i wanna know what is the name of the soung in 3:07 .....i love that music.....the first one was FFX llol...

lol. Yeah we posted the vids on about the same time. :p Wont be no big movie. Will be several small ones.. And only with the best drífts.
