How can I get an 80s car to race in the 80s sports car cup? (I already sold my last 80s car), oops.

Win a Skyline R32 from the beginner championship, Maybe the R34 you win from the Amateur European Championship is elligble too, but defitely the R32, Kicks ass.

The R32 should definitely do the trick!! You can't use the R34 cause it's a 90's motor. I'm sure you can use one of the older RX7's also.....

Just how many Skyline models are in the game?!

Are there more than one 80s Skyline?

What do the designations R32, R34, V-Spec, etc. mean?

There are quite a few Skylines in the game. Everything from stock to street modified to fully modified race cars.

R32, R34, etc.. are different models of street Skylines, Like BMW 323, 328, 330 etc.. The cars are from different years, in the skyline case R34 was a later addition, probably with a 3.4 liter engine. What ever the configuration it's more powerful, As it a later model, more refined. Same is the case with the Evolutions
IV, V, VI, VII.

The Miatas are different years as well.

Also I think the Shinego Apex Sprinter Trueno is an 80's car. I think you win that early in amateur.

Thanks a lot for your help... Very insightful.

Do you, or does anyone, know of a resourceful Skyline website?

I won the R32 Skyline, but it does not qualify for the 80s sports car cup. I knew I should have kept my Shigeno, but it was so ugly, I sold it for a turbo.

Can anyone suggest how I can get an 80s car to win the 80s car cup? I am at about 65% complete, and I sold many of my original cars...

?

I don't know why your car wasn't elligible, that is what I ran. Find a car database (for the game) that includes the years in the info for all the cars, pick one from 80-89, maybe a 90 will work. Should be skylines, silvia's , maybe a 300Z or 3000GT as well, check it out.

The dealer R32 Skyline should qualify, but you could always break down and buy the Sprinter Trueno from the dealership. Hey, it's cheap! :)

i used an older rx-7... :) I was so impressed with the new rx-7, that i went and bought a 80's rx-7 for those races....

I used the 300ZX TT for the 80's cup races...:thatsodd:

Kinda weird that a car made in the 90's would be allowed to race in the 80's races...:D

I used a mazda mx5 1.6 for the 80s cup, turbod, went quick but handled like a dog.
