Really my MK1 Golf gti is a Y reg That makes it 1983 they also made them on an A reg which is 1984 they then started producing the MK2 in 1984 hence the last mk1 campaigns were all 1984 as a runout model.

I know my VW's maybe you can guess what my green one is in the picture.
