My friend said his friend is selling his 90ush prelude (I know its the same model, jus not a 100% sure on the year) for 2500, he just put new pistons and a new head unit in the car. Its a 5 speed with about 150 some thousand miles on it. I'm still going to test drive it, but I was just wondering what you guys think of the car. My friend said that the car runs good. And does anyone know of any sites that sells parts for that car, I would like to change the pop-up lights to something else, plus if I buy this car I plan on putting a little money into the engine.

This is what the prelude looks like...just in case I got the year wrong. This isn't THE car I'm looking at buying but its the same model, my friend saw the pic and said it looks exactley the same.

Leave the pop-up lights. They look good on that particular car. For parts, just google for what you want. You should find something or other.

If it is an SI then you have a B21, if it is specifically a 2.0SI then you have the B20. Just look left of the header (passenger side) and down on the block there should be a stamping designating which block it has.

It's always poor practice to do business with friends, but I'm not sure what it says about friends of friends. If the car breaks down, will you resent your friend for referring you to his friend?

Anyway, you don't need anyone on GTP to tell you that Honda's cars last forever, but they aren't invincible; they DO break down once in a while.

Those preludes are sweet handling and pretty quick, but be warned they have issues with driveshaft wear... Had to replace mine three times in 150,000 miles and I didn't abuse it either. Great fun to drive though! :)

Check the sources thread, that will help a LOT. Also, after market parts for Hondas and Toyota's are pretty much everywhere. Same goes for Acura and Lexus.
