90's Japanese challange, car suggestions?

Yeah that should work i think the RX-7 i picked at around that much so you should be fine.

Both of those suggestions will be more fun than the 4WD Evo, so yeah, go with one of those.

Skyline GT-R M.N.P II (R34) '99. Collectable and a bat of hell. It will win many other races than '90 Japanese races.

I'll probably dump the supra and pick up the GT-R. It was kinda lame tbh.

I have not bought a car apart from the Honda **** at the start. Yes, the Evo is too easy for winning the Japanese 90's championship, but it is free, and allows you the luxury of placing it in the correct photo mode position easily during the race, if you so choose. Photos look amazing with the new lighting.

(I am nearly ready for the Prius race, hope I don't need to buy one as I've been putting it of by doing Goodwood ect)

If you want to go easy buy the gtr spec-v 09. It's fantastic and can be used in a lot of other events too!
edit: Darn it, I forgot it was 90's challenge. My bad! The car is still good. For the 90's I used the Mazda RX-7. It was pretty easy.

I think he's looking for a 90's car, 09 is way off, I'll throw my ten pence in an Evo of some description.

I ended up with an Evo 6 RS TME which yes is just off for the race regs but pick a older one up and your set, Mine also managed over a quarter of all the race wins I have so far so yeah Evo powerrrrr

Get the Civic or Miata! You can use those later for the one make races, 2 birds one track .

I first gave it a go in a '97 MR2, but that thing was completely un-driveable for some reason. Even the least amount of steering would send it into gross oversteer on the point of spinning.

After that I went for a safe bet; a Subaru Impreza WRX TypeR. Needless to say, it was a walk in the park.

Miata....I think I used the TME Evo6 for the last race since I got tired of dodging AI car into braking zone...

This or if you want a harder still challenge MR2 G Limited 97 with 220-240bhp

Civic Type R (EK) bone stock. Sport Hards. Doable with some excitement on R246 since the competition cars are faster

I agree 100%--that car is just broken. I actually came into this thread just to un-recommend it. It tried to kill me on every corner and even slight bend in the road. If the real ones were like that, none of us would have survived the 90's. I tried upgrading the suspension and if anything that made it worse. ASM helped (of course) but it sure wasn't any fun that way. I ended up going with the premium RX-7.

I hope the GT300 MR-S isn't similarly broken. It's been one of my favorites since GT4, and I'm about to blow most of my money on it.
