92 Nissan 180sx

Hey,

I'm new here so i just wanted to start off by saying hello to everyone. But more to the point I'm in the process of buying a black 92 180sx with 102,000kms because I have been after one for a while, the only problem is that it has had quite a few modifications and for $18,500AU I'm not sure if that's what it should be..... Any help/opinions would be very much appreciated:)

What is that like 14,000 something USD maybe? If so that sounds about right, that 180 is pretty hooked up with all you would need to have a good time. If I were you I'd go take a look at test drive it but other than that I say go for it.
 
For that much cash, it better come with alot more. Thats WAY overpriced. You can buy SCCA used rally cars for 3/4ths that price that would crunch that car. Sounds like you're paying for the bling, I'd steer clear of it. The roll cage, ecu and ic are the only decent things there. For that cash id expect a full stand alone, 272 cams, rebuilt sr ported and polished, the list goes on.
 
Cars on average cost more in Australia aswell as everything else.

Its not a bad price considering pretty much stock SR20 180sx's go for about $13,000 over here, There is alot of expensive parts on that car that make it worth while, aslong as the car is in good condition.

Make sure the body is good, check for rust in the seal panels and strut towers, 180sx's tent to rust in those places. If its at all beaten up from drift damage dont buy it.
