99.8% a bug or a known issue?

I seem to recall a few posts here and there mentioning being stuck at 99.8%.

I'm in the same situation. I have 40g/40s, so I'm not missing any licenses, and I have every prize car. I have all missions cleared.

Is there something I am missing? I have looked at every trophy and there does not seem to be any bronzes I might mistake for gold. I've looked --- a LOT of times (verrry slowwly, I might add) --- at every hall and every manufacturer race.

So.... is there a known issue with GT4 at 99.8%? And anyone else.
 
Yes, it's a known issue. I believe it happens if you didn't complete driving mission 1 before all the other missions.

I just checked my diary, and I definitely completed mission 1 before any other mission.

What else could it be?

Check to make sure you have not got a bronze in one of the championships or that you have all championship trophies.

These two things are very common to have been overlooked.
 
What about the easily missed family cup?

It is not found in any of the usual race halls or manufacturers areas, but rather is found by going through one of the green & white circuit areas; World Circuits, City Courses, Original Circuits. You choose your circuit, then Family Cup, and then set the difficulty.
Although most tarmac circuits have a family cup race available, you only need to complete one of them.
 
I cannot believe what I did. I had gold on all 5 Japan Championship races without running the actual -championship-.

How could I have done that? Oh well, I guess I'm happy that I found the missing .2% :)

I was so happy to have found it, that I went and celebrated by grabbing another 2 license golds!

And thanks for the feedback guys, you helped me keep looking when I was nearly going to resign the search.

Hey I've actually overlooked the enter Championship icon before, so it is probably a bit common for players to just enter single races and miss the Championship. lol Anyway, I'm starting fresh on GT4, so I've got a long way to go.
 
I've just finished Tokyo 300 km so nothing left for me... And I'm stopped at 99.8%. I think is the TT issue...
 
Thanks for the heads up about the glitch. I'm tired of the measly 5 tracks on GT5P so I ordered GT4 since GT5 has been delayed. Paid a whopping $3.98 for GT4 on eBay! haha
