Hello, I just bought two used NSXs...didn't mean for it to happen that way, but it did. I wanted a lime green metallic '99 NSX, and when one went up for sale, I jumped at the chance. I went through a few races with it, putting about 70~75 miles on it (after an oil change, of course). When I returned to check the used car selection next week, I saw a lime green metallic '99 NSX Type S Zero. I bought it, changed the oil, snapped a few photos, and took it for a drive. I only had the chance to drive it about 10 miles, but I already notice a difference in handling. The car feels tighter, and seems a bit more sure-footed. Aside from a horsepower advantage and a weight difference, what are the other differences between the '99 NSX and the '99 NSX Type S Zero?

Type S Zero is more like a M3 CSL. It's about 90+kg lighther with lightweight panels, spoilers, seat and etc. Stuffs like stereo, air-cond, airbags and traction control are all stripped out. Comes with stiffer suspension than the normal NSX but not as hardcore as the NSX-R.

Thank you! That was the answer I was looking for. I feared that I was going mad, you see. With the normal NSX, it seemed easier to break the rear end loose. Unfortunately this makes the Type S Zero feel like it has a wider turning radius. That's not to say it isn't a fantastic car, though! It just feels a bit bizarre re-learning how to drive a lime NSX after driving a...lime NSX?!
