I was searching around online and I came accross an article talkign about this new forced induction system being developed by Garnett called the Hydrocharger. Pretty much what i got from the article is that the Hydrocharger is a half turbo half super charger. They take the intake end of a turbo and attach the turbine to a hydrolyic pump which in turn is powered by the engine. In theory this would eleminate turbo lag and spool up time, and still have all the high RPM power of a turbo, as the turbine would spin teh entire time the engine is running. This also post an advantage over superchargers and turbs, ad the hydro charger can be mounted anywhere along with the hydrolic pump.

So what do you think of it? From the report, it says the Garnett was supposed to manufature these last summer, but the project suddenly dissapeared, anyone have anymore info on it?

Thats...weird. It sounds like it would weigh a lot and take up a ton of space. What would you have to do to cool the water?
