A-7 Camaro Liscense Test

I was wondering if anyone has any tips on getting gold on the Camaro liscense test i have watched the demo countless time and have gotten within .008 of gold but cant seem to get over the hump. I have maybe 20 other gold so im not that bad a driver, just need a little help i guess
 
This one took me a while too, but it's all about timing. Just find the best line where you can slide the Camaro into the turn.
 
If you are using manual switch to auto so that you only have to concentrate on turning and braking. Try not to slide as this costs time, brake slightly ealier than you are doing and come out of the corner smoothly. Going sideways in this test costs time.
Slow in = fast out.
 
Just to keep you sane, this is one of the toughest license tests to gold. The margin of error is incredibly small, while the opportunity for error is great.

THe old adage Forget accuracy, go for volume certainly applies here. Myriad attempts is your best chance.

I knew i cant be too bad if its giving you guys some trouble too. It just sucks getting .008 from gold. Ive probably done it hundreds of times already. I have all the rest of the A golds and B except for A-7. I guess ill work on it tomorrow.
 
I can't understand why so many have a problem with this one. I like this test. It's a challenge, but a lot of fun. I can usually get gold in the first few tries, but sometimes it takes longer.

Remember to use that rumble strip when turning right. When you use it, back off on turning so hard. Let the strip take you around. Make sure you don't squeal the tires. That means lost valuable time.
 
I'm right where iceman is. I've got all 6 top times within a hundredth of gold, and I've never managed to break the barrier. In fact I gave up and went to gold the rally license... and I'm about a second off the pace at Tahiti Maze.

Yeah I just went back to it now, I've never really paid attention to the A tests.. but I definitely see what you mean. I call it 'comfortably silver'.
 
This is one where you don't have to follow the dotted line religiously, brake earlier than it suggests and DO take note of the white section of line that you should coast for, instead of stomping straight back on the power. If you can touch the kerb on the inside of the bend and avoid the Armco on the way out, you should be OK.
I agree though, this test took way longer than any of the other licence test in this section to get Gold on.

Just got Gold and recieved my second RX-8. I managed a 14.176, not 2 bad. Only took about 10 tries. I found that turning while braking enabled me to get farther to the inside of the turn.
