Sorry if this has been posted before but i searched & couldn't find the answer i needed.
This is the problem i'm having. In the tuning settings you have A, B & C for 3 different set ups. I tune my cars like this:
A option is a max tune with high RPM turbo, stage 3 engine tuning & weight reduction etc.
B option is more of a sports tune with lower BHP, smaller turbo, sports exhaust etc
C option i like to keep the cars BHP standard only changing the suspension, transmission & LSD

I set up A (say 600pp for example) then i set up B (550pp) lastly i set up C (500pp). When i switch back to set up A my PP has changed & is lower than the 600pp i set it too. This is because some of the tuning options have changed. Weight reduction is set to standard (like my C set up) Surely they should stay exactly how i set them like in GT5?
Is this a well known problem that needs fixing? I've not played GT6 that much since i got it at xmas so i'm a little behind with what's going on. Sorry.

I don't know why it does this and it drives me insane! It completely defeats the purpose of having ABC setups. Absolutely useless. It would be nice if PD would fix this. It can't be that difficult.

Also, why can't we copy and paste A settings to B/C anymore?

It is because 'Engine Tuning' & 'Weight Reduction' are common to all three setups, changing these for one setup will also change it on the other two setups.

👍

i suspect they got rid of copy&paste function something to do with glitch that enabled you to have better performance with same PP?

I think that if you have a car in real life with three possible custom configurations (A, B, C), and you reduce the weight to level 3 in A, it's clear that it will be the same in config B and C beacuse the weight affects the whole car...
Maybe that's why it happens.

If you go to garage-> car settings, there is a small text saying "a,b,c common" on weight reduction & engine tuning. That's why you can't have separate tunings on those two items for A, B, C. I guess...

Even tho it is stupid! :)

The way I see it, they are for suspension /lsd/gearbox variables. You can simply re - select which power/weight upgrades you want each time you change settings sheet.

Might be that PD intended for it to work as the OP desires, and it's just another bug?

I doubt it's a bug but rather they intended the engine and weight upgrades to be common across sheets BUT at the same time allowing us to downgrade if need be. It's much better than GT5 where we couldn't downgrade at all.

The option to reset the tuning and weight reduction is a good one. You no longer have to have an extra version of the same car to keep it stock. I was always leery of changing these settings in GT-5 because they were permanent. Because of this I think the setting pages had to change a bit. Being able to revert back to standard is a huge improvement.
