intro:
Well I've had Gran Turismo ever since the first one came out. I bought GT3 before i got my PS2 (early jan 04). Anyways, around october of 03 i became drift fanatic.. And i watched all sorts of videos, and went to D1.. and driftshowoffs.. finally after playing gt3 about the 15th time.. i got to a point where i got a car that I could learn drifting at ease.. I have a GT wheel .. not the new one. Uh for some reason I can't get the car to powerover on the control pad. shrugs. LoL.

The car:
RX7 with about 629hp ... normal RX7 the one u can buy. did all engine mods.. (well cept for the last turbo upgrade) suspension and limited slip.. put on sims and DIDN'T do any settings. Cuz I felt if i'm going to learn, I can in reality drift any car. Oh so yea ASM - none.... TCS - level 1.

The practice:
Altho one would go through tutorials and all that.. i just put my self on "Run and Settings" [apricot hill cuz it has variety of turns] and just tried my best to keep the car under control while starting with powerover for now.

The Clip: (only 500kb)

Note: I will take down link if bandwidth becomes assecessive.

Any comments and criticism is welcome :] I'm very open minded. And tips too!!
(kinda new to the board .. but been scoping it out for vids and stuff lol)

i'm not sure if i just need to update my quicktime player, or if yourlink isn't working...its not playin,i'll check my player

lol.. hey i did mention i just started LOL.. and to all u out there thinking it doesn't take practice.... it sure does.. just look at the replay.. u can see me in my ghost facing the other way LOL... and yep grass... ack.. i had some better ones but... they were well into the 15th lap. any tips on speeding up the REPLAY??

If you used the RZ, it has trouble power overing so i wouldnt rekomend that car... perhaps you should have changed the settings...

Hey, that's a tough corner, so good start. I agree with NK4e lower the HP.

Not a bad attempt, for sure.....

However, there are a few things you could do to improve your drift....

1. Lower the HP... that's way too much HP for sim tires... I would suggest either installing normals/sports, or lowering the HP to a more "sim" suitable level (around 400hp for the FD3S (low torque)....

2. Learn to use weight transfer instead of power over.... Power over is a good tool, but like any other technique, it can be easily over used....

Here is a pretty decent list of techniques:

If you need help with settings or technique, send me a PM, and I will do all I can to help....

Thank you soo much guys.. i just fired up my ps2 to run a couple rounds.. i'll lower hp and try it out.. THANKS SOO MUCH!!!
