Surfing the web and came across this site for advanced driving techniques.

If you're having problems with the physics in this game, this site should give you a basic understanding of the forces involved when attempting to go "fast". Once you're done with the main page, you can follow the various links to detailed articles about the topics discussed.

After your mind has been successfully blown, you can hop on GT5 and put your new knowledge to the test. I highly recommend the Trueno stock with Comfort Softs, but what do I know?

I was expecting the number 42 but this will do nicely! Thanks for the link. Def worth a deeper read later on!

Thanks, looks to be an interesting read 👍

"Graph 4 shows an aggressive driver pulling away with high revs and 'dumping the clutch'. This driver has exceeded the maximum amount of grip available and wheel-spin has now occurred. The driver continues to use high revs, which in this case causes 'fishtailing' as the rear wheels fight for grip. This is not a good way of getting a quick start."

Sounds like a fair analysis of my driving style...

This is my new favorite website.

Thanks McClarenDesign!

I could actually use this, thanks a lot! :)

The whole site, http://www.drivingfast.net is full of great information. Tips for driving techniques are also useful in everyday life.

I credit Gran Turismo for saving my life on several occasions. Once with a Pontiac Firebird spinning on ice in front of me, and the other was a truck nailing a center divider. Playing the game and relating understanding the physics (both in game and in real life) helped both my reflexes, and my quick decision-making.

Never stop learning.

Bump, cuz I think more people here and online could use the info.
