Tonight i thought i would give the single player another blast and see what if anything has been done to the game.
I have recently obtained the super licence and thought ill give it a go.
Event selected Brands Hatch 15 Laps Max 650pp
The car i selected was the Honda Raybrig HSV-010 Tuned to 618pp
First i noticed the weather and that i did not have all the tires i needed to complete the event but thought i would try with just intermediate's and racing hard's even though the rain was lashing down.
To my surprise the Intermediate tires were just fine and the car handled good too maybe a little back end out on some corners but that WAS just my driving style.
To my surprise the AI were hard to catch up with (First Smile) after a 4 laps i managed to get into the top 5 and noticed i was skidding a little more but thought i would push for another lap or two to get into 1st place with a decent lead.
My plan worked on lap 6 almost all of the front runners pitted and i stayed out in 1st place, Big mistake tires almost gave out and i forgot about fuel had to limp into the pits losing any lead i had down to 6th place (Second Smile).
Time to drive with a little more care and to watch my fuel
Suddenly i got the point of the new tire's , Fuel , Driving Mechanics (Third Smile)
Having to drive watching the tire's going into a corner and not just hammering the hell out of the car on the other side i found it a pleasure to drive with a little more care and also noticed my lap times drop too.
The race was won by a big margin however it felt better and half way through i though hang on i might not win this.
Overall verdict: Big improvement however i'm not sure if it is all down to the patch or the races in the S category but hell it made me smile and that's the first time on GT6.
