In reponse to recent events:
I've been around GTPlanet for a fairly long time, and I've watched it grow a great deal. I suppose I am considered one of the senior members, therefore I feel it's my responsibility to post this.
Recently, several obnoxious members have been making un/deconstructive posts simply out of spite, hatred, or stupidity. They have hurt the community and have put an unnecessary burden on Jordan and the moderation team.
So...this post is my CALL TO CIVILITY. I have seen more threads closed in the last 3 weeks than I did in 3 MONTHS previously. I WILL NOT STAND BY AND WATCH THE WONDERFUL GTPLANET THAT JORDAN BUILT TURN INTO ANOTHER FLAME-FILLED INTERNET FORUM. I have seen other websites that have great promise crash due to obnoxious members that instigate and stir up disagreements and anger, and these sites turn into flaming grounds in which everyone simply insults each other then leaves in a huff.
GTP will NOT be like this!
To the majority of you who have been helping the community: thanks, and keep up the good work. To those who haven't: this is MY warning. You may think this post sounds arrogant, hateful, prude, or petty. No matter what YOU think, this behavior has to stop.
