All these challenges have put me in the mood to do the same. I challenge you BreakerOhio to a battle of race drifting if you choose to accept. I'm afraid I hafta put a few limits on it. I can't use my memory card right now so my challenge is limited to the first few tracks available (MF 1 and 2, Trial Mtn). Plus I am only able to use the arcade cars for drifting and i'll most likely use a class A vehicle. I hope these limitations won't discourage you from accepting :)

Whew, I'm sweating from all this typing in the past two hours ...

When BreakerOhio accepts, I'll start a thread where this challenge will take place. Is that good for you?

I'm up for a RACE DRIFT battle and Trail Mountain 1 sounds fun. However I'm not too excited for using an A class car from the arcade when I have garage cars that I've tuned. Which car would you be using?

well i will let you guys work out what is exactly to be expected with this race drifting... speed or time... or a combination of both... if time is to be included we need sector times... and while you are at it speed and avg speed... to help us out...
also do the following
1) Choose a specific course
2) Tire and modification limts if any should be pronounced. In this case i guess whether ot not drift or race settings will be used...

oh yeah The Prime... i was wondering if you could turn off invisible mode during hte comp so we know when youa re on... that is assuming you have it on... thio told me you did...

i think we agree on trial mtn as teh track. I don't know if breaker is willing to choose a class a drift car though... And I have no idea what invisible mode is... maybe u can explain that to me :p

it says you are not online when you are

i cannot see you on my bl...

go to my gtplanet
edit options
its the first one... click no and submit modifications

I'd like to have the course be trail mountain. Lets judge style, smoke, sideways, and time in that order. I would rather you find a memory card and not limit the car use to the arcade A class cars because those cars are pretty slow in my opinion and doesn't really go well with my drifting style. I want speed so I can chokudori it and produce lots of tire smoke. But if you must.... maybe we can work something out.

ok that all sounds fine if its fine with prime...

wait... why would you wanna choku in a racing drift.... what kind of racing drift is this... is htis exhibition or not...

if it is racing drifting i think we will stick with:
Speed - 10 points
Control - 10 points
Smoothness - 5 points
Time/speed through corners:10 points

I seriously don't have a choice man. Thats why I asked you if ur willing to do class A racing drift cuz there's no way you can exhibition drift with those cars and I lost all of my library of cars... I seriously want to exhibition drift but I can't... the choice is up to you... its ok if u decline... just thought I'd ask.

with racing drift are we talking about 4 wheel drifting with minimal smoke... or drifting through corners while trying to get fast lap times...

just give it a try breaker...

Exhibition drifting would be easier to judge as well...

Use the arcade cars on "drift" settings...

i thought we could change to drift setting with triangle in arcade...

it would be easier to judge. How about using S class cars and selecting drift setting.

Type S cars suck for drifting, either racing or exhib. And what drift settings r u talkin about?

I am refering to the option that you have after selecting your car....it asks RACING or DRIFT. If you select DRIFT you will be equiped with what feels like slicks...it won't be as grippy like super softs.

We are limited here because you don't have a memory card.

If we run a racing drift battle...I'd feel that judging it would be hard because what would you expect...a grip racer to improve time or a showing sideways drift to demonstrate drifting in result losing time. That is why I'd rather do an exhibition drift.

I thought u were talking about some special drift settings, not the racing/drift option. Ok ur right, we are limited by my mem card, which is why I said in the beginning when i made the challenge that I can only use arcade mode cars. Let me try to revise my challenge for you. I challenge you to race drifting on trial mtn in the way bengee described. I don't know if the judges will allow two different cars for drifting (class A car vs. one from breaker's garage). If they think they can judge a race battle that way then we have no prob. If not, then the challenge is to pick a class A car in drift mode. How does that sound?

i dont think they are slicks because they wear fast...

The problem with racing drift is that you need to tune the car inorder to 4 wheel properly... everyone is a bit different and there is no one car that can do it all...

exhibition will still be quite difficult on this... what exactly did you mean by race drifting prime...

ehh... I don't know how the judging will be done for a racing drift, I'd like to use the B class Silvia. How about you use that too?

the car must be the same car from the arcade mode... both must be on drift settings chosen from the arcade... that is hte only way such a challenge will be fair...

also we will need sector times... speed... avg speed...

it will be more like:
Speed - 10 points
Control (line and smooth exit/entrance) - 10 points
Time:10 points
style:5

speed and time is hard data only... style and control is judge decided

for me i think its hard u to drift with standard cars in arcade mode even i try it before its really hard . but if u can drift u r great...:)

hmm... I tried race drifting in all teh classes. C and B classes are too underpowered so the race will barely have any 4 wheel drifting in it. S class has cars that really aren't meant for drifting (they want to correct the oversteer too much, even with all the drift settings enabled). A class is reallly the only one left.

Those rules look good to me bengee. No wonder ur a head judge :D

I can give it a try. Lets go ahead and do a "racing drift" with the b class silvia spec R aero(J). I'll use a blue one.

What form will we submit our results? How many video files. Please explain for the way we show proof of sector times etc...

Will I be deducted points for not drifting ever corner because this is a timed race too.

I think choosing A class arcade mode drifting will present a good challenge. It really takes skill to race drift a car that you haven't set up. Plus, how many battles take place using the arcade mode cars? :P

in arcade mode u have to use feints syles then...u can drift
i test it before with rx7 ...its nice but not really drift still grip...hmmmm:irked: but as i u said skilzzz is needed...;)

What setup will you choose? RACE or DRIFT? because it it possible to drift in race option too.
