Hello guys, I'm pretty new here on GTP. Tried to search about this "problem" but didn't find anything.

I've been playing GT5P for a while now and have noticed two annoying things about the graphics in the game.

1st: Shadows in replays. If the car is behind a wall or behind another car, the shadow of your car is in front of the wall or the other car. Do you think PD are aware of this and going to fix it before the release of GT5?

2nd: I always drive with cockpit view, so i don't know if this "feature" exists in the other views. But when driving around it sometimes seem to flash in the car. Have someone else noticed this? You think it's supposed to be the flash of a camera in the crowd or something like that?

English is not my native language, so I had som issues about describing the 2nd problem. Hope you understand it though.

There is a couple flashes you may notice, one is when you pass lightpoles like the tall ones on Daytona the shadow quickly flashes over the dashboard.

The other is a strange bug that flashes a bar diagonally across the screen for a brief moment, one when starting a time trial that bar was stuck on for me.

Ok, I guess the first flash type (not the bug) is the one I have seen most. Haven't noticed the flashing bar.

Well it happens so fast you may not have really noticed what it is, just you saw a flash.

all should be fixed by full GT5 release... and i bet the developers do know about them.. they just did not have time to fix them for GT5P release

Hard to describe but, sometimes when there are lots of cars on the screen , and one of them drives in the grass, I see squares in the dust. Almost like the ps3 doesn't have the power to display the fine dust so it only renderes squares. I almost always notice it on the Suzuka track playing online.

And whats up with the convertibles, I really expected to drive them with the top down.

Hahaha! Keep dreaming dude, even in GT4 if there is more than one convertible on the track the top will be up...lame, I know. But nothing much we can do about it except hope.

Yes, PS3 is not that miracle they said about everywhere. They try hard again to get the best from it. And I believe PD, they'll do it in GT5. Smoke is the weakest part of GT graphics, looks no real as gets out of fender and it disappears too early. Real smoke will stay for tens of seconds and dispersing freely into air, is carried away by winds and cars behind you would break the dispersing volumes of smoke and make turbulences in it. Nothing to see in GT, just plain layered textures as seen in past games. We'll see what smoke they bring in final game.

And 16 convertibles on track with animated drivers, that's too many even for PS3, I think.

when doing drifts , its seems to be the most disappointing thing with the reply , but the physics are awosme

Actually, all the drivers in the cars are in fact already animated. So technically, it should not not be a problem showing all the cars driven with the top down .

When you zoom in on your car at the start of the race the car in front looks like a low res jpeg thats totally flat!:yuck:

Sort it out PD!

I notice if you drive with cockpit view and when you run into dust clouds, sometimes it will confuse the lighting and you will see somthing like flashing shadows.

I haven't noticed that. The flashing I've seen is when going on the track, without any dust clouds near by.
