A cute idea I had for an "early adopter bonus" for a future GT game.

The idea I had was to grant immediate access to the launch editions of various cars. They'd still be in the game for everyone, but you'd buy them with credits, whereas this bonus would give you them for free. These cars could include the following models for example, and would join their more "mainline" variants in the dealership:
Alfa Romeo 4C Launch Edition
Dodge SRT Viper GTS Launch Edition
Toyota GR Supra Launch Edition

It alternatively could be a pre-order bonus, but I think it'd be best if it were an "early adopter bonus," where you don't need to necessarily pre-order, but simply obtain these items within a month or so of the game's launch.

(As an aside, was there a list of "notable variant colors" for the cars in GT Sport thus far? I mean stuff like the orange for the 2nd facelift for the R35, or the titanium for the RX-7 Spirit R - factory colors that are exclusive to those specific variants. Another example was the opal color for the R35 SpecV, or the Millennium Jade color only available for some variants of the R34 SpecV. Were these also typically the "pre-selected" color? I'm pretty sure that for the newer R35 and the RX-7 they were, but were there any I was missing?)

or we could just stop promoting exploiting video game practises where consumers can easily be taken advantage of

considering your idea is just 'a few cars which can be bought with credits anyway', your cute idea is hardly spectacular, hey, even GTS had that with 10 or so cars + 2,000,000 credits

But I like the motif. Plus it's not like it's exclusive content that you'd be entirely missing out on if you don't pre-order. I don't see much of a difference in this compared to how GT Sport came with around ten free cars and a couple million credits in at least one version.

There isn't, but there are many people who have bought the digital deluxe edition for the extra money, or pre-ordered it, only to be disappointed at the lack of exclusivity and that they feel ripped off, but then you also shouldn't make them exclusive because that too is consumer exploitation.

Taken advantage of? Exploitation? How? His idea revolves around just owning the game in the first month of release. It's an ever better situation than what you point out, because you wouldn't have to purchase early, or even any special editions.

Well then they should have researched before hand. It was clearly labeled what was in the game, considering all the hype that we had before hand for a full year practically.

Well, good thing he said that they aren't, right?

Didnt GT6 sort of do this with the Chrome Line series?

In a way, yeah. They were pre-order exclusive in GT5, and then you could just buy them in GT6. I think the stealth models were similar in this regard...
