Well I have finally found what I was really looking for, a club that really races here in Orlando. Martin Sports Car Club of Orlando gets together every second saturday of every month and holds a supercross event. They do it at a Community college's skid pad. Anyways, I took a few pictures and I thought I would share them with you guys. It was tons of fun, and I probably will be signing up with the club at their next meeting.

Me coming out of the hook, and flooring it towards the exit. That run is the one I ended up taking the Street Truck, and the Novice caterogies with a 41 second flat run. Closest person to me was a 17 year old in a WRX with a 42.6 second run.

My Xtreme back at home with its first 1st place trophey!

That was a glimpse into my day! It was completly awesome. I plan on going again next month, and will probably be taking my sisters Tibiron just to see how I would do in a front wheel driven car. :D

Congratulations!!! I'm so glad that you found this club. I'm sure you're gonna be racking up the trophies and awards. :D

Beautiful shot. Awesome job on taking First place in your class, I definately want to come down there next month and race the IROC, as long as it is 100% operational. Man I missed out on a dope day, I bet it was hot though.:D

It was nice and hot, I got some of my first summer sun on Saturday. Working on that Florida tan of mine. :D

The folrida tan, by that you mean the left arm being tan and the right arm being white from keeping you right arm in the car with your left one outta of it.

 Exactly!

Really, on Saturday I was working on my farmers tan, got nice short sleeve tan line. :D

It really wasn't that bad, we were done by 12:30pm so it was mostly morning. It was humid but not to hot. I had two bottles of water, but thats every summer day in Florida.

The clouds started gathering late morning, and I thought they would cancel it if it started raining. Oh no, these guys were excited and were hoping for rain. Apparently they race in the rain, and it seems every exciting to watch. I can imagine, people were spining on dry track, imgaine on wet track. I would have been spining for sure.

Then the Florida Original White beater tan. :)

Well i hope you come out next time, I think there is going to be a group following me. Apparently, everyone I know wants to go now. 👍

That actually looks like a fun little track to race on. 41 seconds looks like a good time on it too.

The map really doesn't do it justice. The last little hook was throwing everyone, and the saleam (sp?) was causing some people to spin. The fastest time was something like 35-36 seconds. In a ZO6 I think.

I wouldn't doubt that, most people lose it, I bet an average of 67mph was taken around it. that is tough though to come outta of that and wanting to floor it and overshooting the brake point needed for that right hander.

Thats exactly what was happening, people were getting to excited in their weeving in and out, to realize they need to brake in order to make that right hander.

I gotta a question, You lost your rear end once didn't you? It is tough taking a pickup through something like this.

I never lost it. Honest... it tried to get away from me a couple of times, but if you know what your doing, and how to feel your "truck" there is no reason to let it happen.

A plus of the Xtreme to also, its lower and when I am throwing it into a corner, the supension really responds and I found my rear tires pushed me right out of the possiblity of spining. Very cool.

nice, so now that you are hooked on this, when are we gonna start to mod it?

<sigh> I was already thinking about the exhaust and probably a filter. Everyone else told me I need to get tires. They suggested getting Kumho's or Falkon. Which really threw me back. I was thinking about getting them because of their price, but everyone out there said they are amazing tires for the price. A couple guys said I should buy a set and put them on my Xtreme wheels, and then buy a set and put them on my 18" wheels I wanna get. The 16" set would be my racing set. It made sense to me.

I agree with them on putting them on the 16 inch. You're not going to get to top speed on the tracks they make, so a set of sticky tires is the best investment first. Second, I would suggest against the exhaust or intake until you get all internals of the engine complete.

Suspension really should be first though and brakes.

HeeHee, that's Grassroot Motorsports/BFGoodrich's Civic Si, not a Focus. Though they really look similar in shape...

Suspension has already been done, pretty much. Maybe I could do something with the back, but I wouldn't imagine doing to much.
