Hi all,

I started the Tsukuba 9 hrs race the other day and it was going fine until I had to pit for the first time. The first time I tried it physically forced me away from the pit entry back onto the race track. I thought maybe I had just tried to enter too fast so the next lap i slowed right down and managed to get into the pit lane, but the AI took over and just drove me straight through, without giving me any options to change tyres etc. I tried again a few times but every time was the same.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I was using the HKS btw.

Cheers

Are you entering the pit lane at the right point? The pit entry is before the last corner.

Yeah definitely. And I tried pitting about 4 times, it drove straight through every time, by which time my tyres were completely shot and I'd dropped to 4th position from 1st. Pretty infuriating. Also, I've done the 4 hrs race at tsukuba and had no trouble at all.

Happened to me too.
You're pitting too late. Get into the pit-lane by the end of the straight, and don't go too fast, then you'll pit just fine. Enter pit lane too late (close to the corner) and you'll get yanket out onto the circuit again, go too fast, and you'll get a drive-thru instead.

OK thanks, I'll give it another try tonight.

I found another problem that's a bit different to yours PaullyS, except after resuming the race where its left off, the AI takes over and avoids driving through the pit lane. Far out, I've wasted 5 hours of my life (I was using the X1 2010 btw)

Not happy :(

OP this is not a different issue, its the same one all along.

going to fast, slow down and get off to the right early

Enter at no more than 50mph / 80kmh. Enter in the right spot, as if in real life.
