A few questions about settings

Hi there,

I'm slowly getting used to Forza 4, but there are a few things I simply couldn't figure out yet.

Firstly, how can you tell it to show your current lap time in the HUD? Checked the HUD options, but couldn't see anything. I get splits, and how far I'm behind and/or ahead, but no actual times.

Secondly, is there any way to have it auto-set at least a part of the difficulty settings based on the car? I find that I like driving some cars with all aids off, but for other cars I need them, so whenever I change cars, I'll have to re-adjust the difficulty settings each time to the very same settings I want for the given car. Is there a way to get it to do this for you, automatically?

The First Question.

I don't remember changing anything for this,but my best lap and previous laptimes are always in the top right corner.


The second question

There i no Automatic setting for this.You will have to change this everytime you get in the cars you don't use assists for.Sorry
 
Actually im pretty sure that lap times show up at the top right corner of the screen while racing. It shows your current, last, and best lap. As for the difficulty settings, it will not change per car. One setting is used for all cars.

You did add to what i forgot to post.The current laptime.

Hmm, weird. Now I wonder whether I've changed anything to not display it. I'll investigate.

That's too bad, as it did start to annoy me a little. :irked: Guess I'll just have to learn to drive all cars with all aids off. 💡

Maybe you have the HUD set up for drift. If you do that then it will only display drift points and nothing else. You can check it out in the HUD options, the drift option is at the very bottom of the list, if its on make sure to turn it off.
