I had some spare time so I wrote down my dream for a GT game.
A few suggestions to make Gran Turismo the greatest game ever
1. You dont need 1000 cars, especially if most are variants. Im not saying you only need the R35 GT-R, but you dont need to have the R34 V-spec. V-spec2, V-spec Nur, M Spec, and standard R34. One or 2 is enough for each of the R34, R33, and R32. All the other cars should get the same treatment in terms of variation
2. All cars must be somewhat equal: that doesnt mean all have to be premiums, but the decision for only 220 cars out of the thousand to have in-car views almost completely ruins the gameplay since the in-car view is very well done and the cars that dont have it feel empty. The graphical differences arent noticeable except in photomode, so a slightly less detailed interior could have created an almost indifferent response to the differences between standard and premium
3. Tuning and car modification still runs on a primitive, outdated mentality, and needs a complete overhaul
5. Regulations for career races: using the above mentioned T and R markers, along with Power/weight ratio, Drivetrain, Engine type, weight, power output and car dimensions all in conjunction to limit entrants, giving players the ability to be creative when entering a car for a series (A clipboard or similar option might be added to the games interface to display the rules the player would like to limit himself/herself to)
6. A few non racing circuit driving environments; for instance a Touge with 3 layouts, an abandoned randomized airfield and an alpine mountain road with 3 or 4 layouts would make for some truly unique driving experiences and a change of pace
7. Less variations of Japanese cars and more variety in American and European cars
8. Rally needs to be completely redone
10. Bring back the classic GT tracks like Midfield and Seattle PLEEEAASSEE!!
11. Keiichi Tsuchiya. Hes ten times more talented than Jeff Gordon!!! LOL

3. Tuning and car modification still runs on a primitive, outdated mentality, and needs a complete overhaul
a. Separate the Tire shop from the tuning shop: this will do 2 things, first: it will help the game tell the difference between modified and unmodified (more on that later). And second, it might give the opportunity for Pirelli, Michelin, Falken, Yokohama, and others to be represented better in the game. Id rather buy Pirelli P-zero than Sports Medium
b. Racing modification should be a multi-step process and involve all cars. Meaning an aerodynamic package must be applicable in some degree to all cars in some degree permitting their change in appearance, then theres the performance mods then, finally a number plate must be added according to the official rules of the Gran Turismo Racing Federation this will serve to help players feel the satisfaction of making their own racecars and give the GT universe a more fleshed out feel
c. There must be a method to add liveries and decals to the cars. Im not talking about a system as brilliant as Forza (even though everyone would love to have that) but would it be too hard to add racing stripes, two tones and some simple graphics. You dont need to apply this to all cars (but at least the majority)
d. A blue T and a red R: or something similar. If your car came from the showroom straight to the track, or maybe you changed the tires, the name is displayed normal. If youve done ANYTHING in the tuner shop, a blue T is placed before the name. If its a racecar (premade like Super GT or if you made it yourself by adding a number plate) it gets a red R. Only cars with R in front of their name get to have race tires
e. Interior mods (at least the steering wheel, but the more comprehensive the better)
f. Engine Swaps, and not just for the engines of different cars. Add engines from Mines, Spoon, HKS, and other tuners
g. Drivetrain swaps: especially useful if youd like to make a drifter out of an AWD or FWD car, or if you want to make a rally car
4. Career should involve multiple race types like Time Attack, Drift and Drag Racing5.

7. Less variations of Japanese cars and more variety in American and European cars
8. Rally needs to be completely redone
a. No invisible walls: theyre a bad idea that has no place in any game made after 1996
b. The Co driver needs to be reprogrammed to recognize crests, dips, jumps and caution
c. Objects surrounding the track need to be destructible or removed completely
d. Besides the WRC type rally, SUV based events need also be added (on tarmac, gravel, with even some of them on circuits) since the Range Stormer, FX45, and Toyota RSC are useless at this point
9. A YouTube-like service hosted by Polyphony Digital for us to share our online and offline replays10. Bring back the classic GT tracks like Midfield and Seattle PLEEEAASSEE!!
11. Keiichi Tsuchiya. Hes ten times more talented than Jeff Gordon!!! LOL
