HI all,

Here goes my first post :-)

I am a month into GT5, and I love it! I've been grinding the B-spec Spa event as described on this forum and my garage is getting filled quickly. However, as my initial idea was to buy all cars, I find myself lost in a long list of cars and I fear that I miss out on some great driving experiences, as some gems in the car park are bound to simply drown in the list (comming from a F1 interest, I do not have much knowledge about the cars in GT5).

Therefore: What about a thread in which you could list your choice of a base car park of let's say 10-15 cars?

This should not be a thread full of single praises of the 2J / NSX / R8 / Veyron or whatever seems to be your particular favorite super killing machine of a car. Your favorite can of course be on the list, but this is a chance to mix and select a good range of cars that you think should be in any GT5 drivers tool box, reflecting the GT5 allround need for cars with different production year, PP level, driveability etc. Price shouldn't be a factor, however a range of only 20.000.000 cr cars seems redundant in this context.

Personally, my experience so far leads to the following cars, but I am exited about hearing your (the experts') choices!

1. Nissan 350Z Concept LM Race Car
2. MINI COOPER S ’07
3. Lamborghini Murciélago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce ’09
4. Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible (C3) ’69
5. Autobianchi A112 Abarth ’79
6. Nissan SILVIA (CSP311) ’65
7. Toyota 86 GT '12
8. Lamborghini NOMAD Diablo GT-1 (JGTC) ’00
9. Audi R8 5.2 FSI quattro ’09
10.Ford SVT F-150 Lightning '03

Best regards,

1. SLS AMG, my favorite car. :dopey: And all the stealth models ;)
2. Mazda 787B, overall a killer car in LMP/Group C category, and the sound!
3. BMW M3 Coupe '07, sweet drifting machine, and well, I like BMW's. :D

4. Ferrari 458 Italia, oh boy is this car a dream, the sound, the interior, the looks of it... 👍
5. Daihatsu Midget, 347 km/h, speaks for itself! :scared:
6. Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 ’08, you'll need it for a few races, and its a pretty good car to drive with the right tune.
7. Ford GT40 Race Car ’69, a monster to drive, and insane good sound! :dopey:
8. Nissan SKYLINE GT-R (R34) ’00, love this car, not much more to say.
9. Nissan R92CP Race Car ’92, insane top speed, insane acceleration, and very good cornering...
10. Mazda RX-7 Spirit R Type A (FD) ’02, my first really good car, and I still use it from time to time.

Nr 4-10 in no particular order.

I bought a car one day and didn't expect much but have completely fallen in love with the way it handles in stock form. Give the Autobacs Garaiya Arta Super GT '08 a whirl. It can be found in the Autobacs Dealership.

1, Mclaren F1
2, Ford GT
3, Nismo 400R
4, Ferrari F40
5, Mazda 787B
6, Nissan GTR 34
7, Audi R8 V10

Lotus Elise
'11 Cooper S
Lexus LFA stock
GTR-N24 Schulze Motorsport

:D

McLaren F1 with NO assists on either stock tires, or Sport medium. Simply an amazing experience. Great sound, and a steep learning curve.

Other cars that are great fun to drive would be the Ferrari 512, the F40, TVR's and the Shelby Cobra.

Mine would have to be:

1: Miura. This car is just sweet to drive stock. if you get one, dont touch it lol
2: Corvette ZR1 '09. Same as above. it needs not to be tuned!
3: Schwimwagen. Yup, tune it fully. It'll surprise you lots.
4: Superleggera 380Z (think it's 380... lol) great fun to drive.
5: McLaren F1... *drools*
6: As much as people will hate me for this, the Veyron. It gets a lot of hate, but it does over 300mph...
7: 787B, as the others have said, the sound is great and the speed is phenominal
8: Audi RS6 Avant '08. Find me another estate car that'll put an R8 to shame...
9: Subaru Impreza WRC (the new hatchback one)
10: Mazda Autozam AZ-1. the thing is a beast once you've tuned it. (albeit not very high PP) looks sweet, handling is a challenge but great fun.

and one more for luck:

11: Ginetta G4. It's really small, really light, but has over 600pp!!

Seeing as everyone else has given more than one car, I feel a bit left out so I'd go (in no particular order):

1. Autobacs Garaiya Arta Super GT '08
2. Ferrari 458
3. Mercedes SLS AMG (as I have driven this in real life)
4. Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 (fantastic stock but also very useful once Race Modified)
5. TVR Tuscan (I have a deep love of TVR and this car is also very handy once Race Modified)
6. Honda Integra Type R '04 (beaut of a FWD car)
7. Chevrolet Camaro SS (if you know another untuned car that is this good for 35k in the game please let me know. I have tested all premiums up to about 65k and the only other car to touch it so far is the Chevrolet Corvette C6)
