A Good Video Converter?

Does anyone know what kind of application can convert MPEG to WMV so i can stream it over to my Xbox 360.

and its gotta be free...

Some Windows XP installations come with Windows Movie Maker (which not only saves to WMVs but also allows simple editing and cutting). See if you can find it in the Program Files folder.

Even if you don't have it, you can download it from Microsoft for free:

I use AVS Video Converter 4.3.

Simple, fast but it isn't free. It can convert videos in most of the formats.

always worked for me, just converted a gt vid so that my friends on xbox live can see the crazy (other word for crap) that i like doing on gt/gt2/gt3/gt4/gthd.
