Went to Brans Hatch on 1st April saw Formula Renault, Formula 3, B.T.C.C. and most importantly the GT Cars
There was a Saleen, Lister Storm, Marcos, the new Morgan, Porsche GT3's, 360 Modena's AND most importantly the ever amazing Speed 12 from TVR - all cars were dressed up in full GT race trim and sounded amazing - I have some of the races on video camera and it makes wicked viewing. It only cost £15 for the day - If you have never been I would strongly recommend it jaw1 :D :D :D

You are a lucky guy - From Leeds its about 4 hours - I travelled down on the sunday was well knackered jw :D :D :D

If you live close then have you ever been to the Essex Arena raceway - On the sunday before Brans we found it about a mile from travel lodge we stayed at - It was excellent, old sierras and cavaliers all smashed up racing an oval circuit and basically smashing into each other - well funny !!!!

Sigh...I need to move to Europe... I've never seen a TVR (heck, I haven't seen a Peugeot, Citroen, or FIAT, either). :thumbsdow

Awesome! Do you have some way to get that video onto your computer? I'd love to see it. :)

So? You're weird Jordan!
Well, I always assumed they were pretty common in Europe, but I've never even caught a glimpse of one. :( You'd think I would have at least seen one of them on my recent trip to the Dutch island of Aruba... ;)

Do they even have cars over there?

LOL, of course they do! The Dutch traffic signs and laws are much different than what we have in the states...I was a bit suprised by the lack of stop signs!

britain has roundabouts. there purpose is to make you so dizzy you are too afraid to drive fast.

We have one around here, and I saw a few in Aruba, too. They are by far the best way to handle high-traffic intersections...I wish they were more common. :(

There's a few roundabouts in Mt. Pleasant, SC. There used to be 4 way stop signs where they're at, and I'd have to say that the roundabouts are much easier. The one's in Britain look so confusing though...:D

Well, you get used to them. The quiet ones in the middle of dual-carriageways are the best: heavy braking, snick left, snick right, then hard on the power as you snick left again on the exit. Fantastic!

Quite a lot of people aren't too good with them though, weaving all over the lanes, not signalling, that sort of thing, which makes it confusing for non-natives!

Right - my computer knackered up before but I'm here now I was gonna say that I was quite humbled to have Jordan reply to my thread and secondly I was gonna say that I havent got a clue how to put my footage of the racing onto the P.C

One of the best roundabouts is where the lanes on the roundabout are at a different height to the approach (if you know what I mean??) So you hit the roundabout at full tilt and the car WILL stick because of the camber !!!

I'm glad to see everything got worked out again. :) To get the video onto your PC, if you don't have a Firewire camera, you'll need a video capture card.

Around here we call them "rotaries"

Cars in the rotary have the right of way, but you'd never know it the way people drive

In Wellington in New Zealand we have the bigges round about in the southern hemisphere I think.

It's called the Basin Reserve....it's an old depressed Cricket ground!
