Hi all, this is my 24th lap of the 'Ring (and first under instruction). The Instructor is Dale Lomas from http://rent4ring.de/en/ and http://www.bridgetogantry.com/

The car is a Rent4ring Suzuki Swift Stage2+. The latest generation Swift with 6 speed gearbox, full cage, Recaro seats, Endless brake pads, Ohlins suspension and Federal FZ tyres. My 4th trip and I hire from R4R because of their service, highly spec'd cars, attention to detail and awesome staff.

Drafting a blog at the mo, I'll spam a link to that if peeps are interested shortly.

The lap is pretty much 10 mins dead (BTG). Tiny bit gutted as most of my laps were around that for this trip (DN8 - http://www.destination-nurburgring.com/). Last October (DN6) I was consistently getting into the High 9:30s / Low 9:40s.

Wish I'd had instruction from Dale sooner, he's helped me be safer and faster! Next time I'm booking an hours tuition with him and swallowing some manup pills. Closer to 9 mins will be mine. The owners of R4R and Dale can get sub 9 out of the Swifts!!!!!

Dale is not 100% happy with his feedback but for me it was spot on and just right. Enough info I could take on board whilst driving and not distracting / too much. My laps after were quicker and safer as a result.

Awesome. 👍

Always wanted to be able to make a run around there, myself. Too bad there's kind of an ocean in the way. Good luck shaving off that 30 seconds, seems like you should be able to do it with help from that instructor, he sounds like a good one. Really good use of hand gestures to convey what he's saying.

Thanks, it's such a mentally cool place. Any Petrolhead / racing fan considering it needs to get it lapped. Times are irrelevant vs. how much fun you'll have.

Dale knows me fairly well (hence discussing weight up Kesselchen). His style might be a tad different for a customer / a bit less short and banterful. He's not best pleased with it and considering overdubbing it. So far all peeps I've shown the video to have said his instruction is really good. He'd appreciate any feedback.

I'm going back in September for a few cheeky TF laps and to watch Dale race in the VLN 4 hour race series. Not sure I'm going to have time for some tuition. Already saving for another trip in 2014, and going for an hour of tuition then.

I was chuffed, Dale used a still from the video for his BtG Facebook page header (for a bit) :D.

It's 666 miles from my door to the 'Ring. Still not convinced this is such a good thing :D.

What a cool catchphrase

Gas Gas!!

After 2 min. everytime he said it I was laughing.

Awesome 👍

Pretty cool stuff, pretty cool instructor as well. Congrats on being able to run on The Ring, looks like a lot of fun.

nice video, I miss not being in Europe any more. I will make it back to the ring soon
