to FreeServe I just sent. Comments?

Hi. My names Nigel Elliott, I am 16 (an avid computer fan who knows his stuff) I live in Coleford, Gloucestershire, which is NOT broadband enabled.

I would pretty much like anybody at FreeServe to contact the bods at BT and get them to enable our area (01594). The reason not much of an interest has been raised about this area is because nobody has a clue about its benefits, or how to register their interest except a few others and myself. I do know that BT has completely messed up the rollout of broadband, and is doubtless trying to come up with a plan that will cause many an avid online gamer to kill theirselves; The point I'm trying to make is there is a whole lot more then 400 people (our rollout limit) that would be more then willing to give up their phone numbers for a good cause. So if anybody at this email address can do anything about this, I'd be much obliged.

So I guess thats all I can say. Except for the fact that our neighbours in Chepstow had a rollout limit of 400, only had 40 registered points of interest and was still enabled.

Thank you.

Nigel.

P.S. I have developed a very bad feeling that my account (dennis@rossell1.fsnet.co.uk) has been placed on a proxy server. This may be a reason why my 56k modem is trundling along at 20k. If this is the case (and I know its the wrong place to ask but anyway) then I would like to know and consequently cancel my account and go elsewhere, because I would feel that AnyTime has become a place for rip-offs.

Also tells you a bit about myself as well. Back to the point, comments?

Be more "Bring Broadband here or I'm going to a different ISP"
They'll listen when they're going to lose money.

Partial rewrite.

How does this look?

Dear Freeserve,

My name is Nigel Elliott, I am sixteen years old and live in Coleford, Gloucestershire. I am very knowledgeable about computers and quite fond of them.

I address you because I would very much appreciate it if you would take the time to contact BT and try to convince them to enable my area (01594). While little interest has been shown by most residents here for what I am requesting, that is primarily due to a lack of education of the benefits or where to register their interest. There are much more than four-hundred people (our rollout limit)who would be willing to give their phone numbers to help with this matter. Please consider helping our area. Again, I am very thankful for any help you provide.

That is about it but as a final comment on this issue I will point out the fact that our neighbours in Chepstow had a rollout limit of four-hundred but only forty have registered points of interest. However, they were still enabled.

Sincerely,
Nigel

Unchanged

Talentless I think you need to change your nick mate.

Your depth of writing skills and communication are very good. Your nick however is letting you down.

As a matter of interest we have the same sort of issue currently in Auckland New Zealand. The Wellington region has an option for cable access, while we are stuck here on ADSL. The current ADSL format comes in 3 packages for home useage.

1. Jet Stream Home 500 - 500 megs of international data transfer per month with a .20 per meg charge over that. Fixed monthy charge of $69

2. Jet Stream Home 1000 - 1 gig of international data transfer per month with a .20 per meg charge over that. Fixed monthy charge is $89

3. Jet Stream Starter 5000 - 5 gigs of international data trasfer pre month with a .10 per meg charge over that. It is also 1/4 the speed of Jetstream at 128kps max transfer rate. It is bascilly twice that of a dial up modem. The fixed monthly charge is $64.90

Many of us have sent in letters, emails and phone about that. Since we only have two phone line companies here in New Zealand with one being the major share holder we are even more so religated to what the deem fit to charge and put restrictions on. It really stinks that no matter what, currently we are at the mercy of one company. Telstra Clear has been looking to break into the industry and are fighting a huge battle right now. I hope they do and succeed. It could spell the end to the monoply that Telecom has and bring down not only prices but improve the service. With Cable mates in Wellington do not have the caps we currently have.

Well, Talentless actually has to do with my GT skills. It is just me making fun of myself.

Oh, and me witun sqillz tank u.

Hahaha fair call.

Being a tool maker/ robotics engineer by trade my writing skills are limited and spelling is worse. I know what to say but damn I should have paid attention in school just a bit better 20 years ago.
