Usually, that's supposed to mean "in a good way." So I heard it performs very well when I saw the MotorWeek program. I'm not usually a Buell guy and not usually fond of most of their styles, but they do put out some powerful bikes loaded with aggressive style and performance.

I'd like to keep this thread from dying. I don't want this to be an all-motorcycle thread with no motorcycle forum in sight. So allow me to talk more on motorcycles just to keep fueling up my proposed motorcycle forum.

UnoMOTO mentioned the Yamaha FJR in response to me referring to the Gold Wing. The FJR looks very sporty. I didn't know this bike was in "Tourist Trophy." Obviously not the model with the different compartments for storing stuff. What has most drawn to me about the FJR is that it seems to balance sportiness with comfortable riding. I never realized there was a such thing as an adjustable windshield. All the different accessories and such make this bike really shine among other touring bikes... even the Gold Wing, which I know best as far as touring bikes go.

Actually the FJR and the Gold Wing aren’t even in the same category as bikes go. I was just putting in my personal taste to say that bike is better. The FJR is a "sport tourer". The Gold Wing would be considered a "Grand Tourer". The Gold Wing probably still leads the pack in its own group while that FJR has lots of competing bikes from the likes of BMW. wfooshee really needs to jump in right about now and start talking up that FJR of his.

So are we going to get a Motorcycles in General forum? I think there would be some activity judging by this thread.

Yeah, I was thinking more along the lines of a luxury-type bike. The Grand Touring bike is what I was going for as far as the touring bike discussion. But the FJR1300S is still an awesome motorcycle from pictures I've seen including a few YouTube videos on it courtesy of motorcycleusa.com.

Now I have a question. I've heard of one of the FJRs not coming with a clutch lever. Is there any sort of performance advantage by not having a clutch level? Or is it just for those not really wanting a manual transmission bike? Or what?

Hooo Rayyyy for John and Jordan!

Oh, happy day! I knew we could get something like this going. I'm going on five years on GTPlanet and usually make contributions in the Sports and Fitness forums in regards to college sports. Well, this has been one way of me giving back to GTPlanet to help expand and broaden the horizon of various issues to talk about. I must say that not only is it good for GTPlanet to finally have a motorcycle forum, that we have such an amazing leader of GTPlanet like Jordan. Maybe you should run for President, mate! ;-)

You all can be assured that I will offer my same unique style of commentary and questions in the Motorcycle forum in much the same way I am with other threads and forums. This is truly amazing for this forum to be completed. I hope to even have lit a fire for those not really into motorcycles to perhaps get into them and appreciate them more. Not everyone is into motorcycles, but when you are into motorcycles, now you have a home to sound off in thanks to my lobbying for this new forum. It shows once again why I love gtplanet.net. Great people. Great discussions. Great place to be. I'm more than thankful to have been on here for over four years.
