I can afford either of these.
When I first started going without driving aids in the summer, I noticed something nice and possibly unknown.

Turning the aids off on most cars will cause them to make better use of their tires, granted the driver isn't a button masher.

Does anyone think it's just me? Or has anyone else seen this too?

Haven't really noticed, I mostly drift which kinda kills your tires...

Eh, maybe just a little bit. I'm only just into the Extreme Hall in GT4. I have slight monetary issues quite often. I see a cool car, try to tune it, then curse myself for not saving for a race car.

I don't know about the TCS but logically thinking, turning off the ASM should reduce tyre wear. After all it uses brakes to control the car and braking naturally causes tyre wear. No idea on the actual comparison, the last time I used ASM was some two years ago when I was still driving with the DS2 and automatic gears.

Now that I think about it, when I switched from using driving aids I think my tyre wear did improve. The car can roam more freely without them, with aids on the tyres are probably put under more stress to bring the car into line.
