Anyone found or reported pirating software files or ripping images that are either copyright protected or not paid for will be punished with extreme severity. You do not want to get involved in images ripping and software piracy. This rule is enforced in each and every forum on GT Boards and can/will lead to immediate ban and reported to authorities.

I found that blurb to be amusing. Thanks to milefile for the heads up on the logo. I need to locate a contact email to notify SCEA of this infringement.
I created a username (Taowulf, of course, I am not hiding who I am *snicker*) and posted the following under the title "An open letter to the moron that spammed me"

Hello doomopti,

As a experienced, frequent user of the internet and a long time member of many forums, I have to say I was annoyed and offended by your private message at the GTPlanet forums. I consider it low and underhanded to private message the participants in a forum that has at it's primary subject matter the same material as the forum you are spamming for.

Let me also add that promising "mod" privileges to people you don't know is a recipe for disaster.

It took him about 5 minutes to first lock, and then delete my post.

He defends use of the GT logo by the excuse "everyone does it"
 
Good idea that, bring down every other forum so GTPlanet gets filled up with all the other people that are no use here :odd:👍

But what he did is pathetic nonetheless. So im all for what you did, good work.
 
I wonder how long it will take me to get banned over there. I bet I can be banned by the end of the day, probably within an hour!
 
If anybody else receives PM invitations, please let me know. This guy is already collecting one official warning for bothering our members.

I'm genesis. Some of you already know me from GTBoards. I've come here because of the fact that some of your fine members did come over to my site and expressed their opinions about what had happened.

Firstly, I'd like to apologize to the admins here. This doomopti character is not known to me but establishing an admin to admin contact and exchanging IP addresses will definitely find the culprit.

GT Boards itself does not want any harm in any way. I run many other forums and all of them are running in peace. Som of your members did PM me, contradicting that I'm lying. No, this is not the way I work. Apparently I did offer some folks to refer their friends to GT Boards. Could this be a result? I'm not sure but I am willing to find out.

@Taowulf: I did remove your thread to the moron, simply due to the fact that it's not GT Boards, it's someone that I'm willing to find.

Any members that have come to GT Boards will not get banned. I'd like to request to please be kind to a new community. It's only there to help and no way in competition with this site of over 60k members. I mean that's crazy to even think of GT Boards as competition.

Yes, I am glad this gu is banned, as he has bothered me for the last time. neon-duke? Could you delete my thread about this? I scrolled down and didn't see this thread about it. I'm sorry! It won't happen again. It's in the GT3 section.
