So I have iTunes at the office and I work on a Mac... a pretty good one at that.
Being a mostly PC user, I sometimes am amazed at how easy, efficient and fun is working on a Mac, but I also notice how much info the machine is running under the surface. Regarding this, I have about 27Gbs of mp3s loaded up into the iTunes thingie.
On with the question, dammit. I have a folder on my desktop where my mp3s are stored and load all of them onto iTunes, will deleting that folder equal to deleting the mp3s? Or does iTunes create a separate place where it stores them? I ask this because I've deleted some mp3s from within iTunes (and even okayed when it asks me if I want to transfer it to the trash), yet I go to that mp3 folder on the desktop and the file is still there.
Now, the hard drive is around 300Gbs, and I currently have about 120 Gbs of free space... I work a lot with graphics and ads, and most of them are at 300dpi, so I may eventually run out of space soon. So the other question is if I can delete that folder on the desktop and still keep my music collection.
Thanks!
