a question for Fanatec users

I used a Logitech G29 for about 6 years and never had any problems with the wheel itself, the motor and peddles were another story.
I bought a DD Pro when they came out and was surprised at how cheap the buttons felt. About 6 months ago I started having problems
with some of them and recently the toggle switch fell out, so I can't even change the wheel settings now. GT7 is the only game I play
anymore and I want to replace it with something that's fully compatible with it. So the Questions I have are....

1. Are the buttons any better on other Fanatec wheels, like the DD Pro extreme?
2. Or is there another quality wheel I'd be better off with that's fully compatible with GT7?

Thanks for any help

If you’re interested in a GT/Formula style yoke, it might be worth looking into Leoxz. Their wheels are PS5/GT7 compatible via the GT DD Pro base.

I haven’t used any of their wheels myself but seriously considered it before I ended up buying a Simagic Alpha Mini and GT Neo wheel and I’ve only seen positive reviews, including Will from Boosted Media who seemed pleasantly surprised with the XF1 Sport wheel.

The CLubsport RS is a good quality all around wheel but sold out for a while now. The Clubsport BMW M3 GT3 V2 is essentially the same wheel.

Only the DD Pro & Extreme wheels have the extra GT7 features, but otherwise all the wheels have GT compatability and can assign functions to all buttons except those “extra” features which only apply to the HUD screens - I don’t miss them

But avoid the CSL P1 V2 and the CSL BMW wheel which is the same - no analog joystick if you play in flat screen means the views will shift - GT7 uses that to look left/right

The Podium wheels work, but the PBM Rally has same joystick issue that affect GT7, so while nice, and not cheap, and a bit heavy for the Pro, you will have some issues until they sort those out. PBM endurance works ok on the Pro but issues on the +

The Pro GT wheel is quite cheaply made, the extreme better but personally I passed on both

I've been using the Fanatec McLaren wheel for over two years. Not a fan of the shifters tbh but I can't fault it otherwise for the price. Also out of the box the toggle switches work the hud in GT7. The left one cycles through the hud and the right makes the changes.

Yes good catch - don’t have the Macl but same on the Formula Wheels and the PBME - the toggles work the hud. And if you have the APM module the upper paddles work the turn signals. Annoyingly even tho these button codes match some functions by default, you can only set them to other functions if you have the DD Podium base, as PD’s button config settings work by wheel BASE, not wheel
