Not sure if this is the right place for this so I appologise in advance if it's not

Assuming most if not all posters in these forums are car enthusiasts. I was wondering, what if any, car magazines people could recommend and why?

Iv been looking for a decent monthly to read. Iv never been into "redline" or "maxpower" they are just not my scene. I quite like "retro cars" but they focus mainly the driver rather than the build of the car which is what I like.

So I would really welcome any suggestions to check out. From near or far if I can get a copy I'll check it out

Thanks

Performance Imports (or HPI as it was once known)is a good read if you can get your hands on Australian mags, it's dedicated to modified Japanese cars which is a pretty big scene here.

Here you go have a squizz.

I like Robb Report a lot

It's not clear which country you're in, but if you have any interest in classic cars then Octane is well worth a read. Not quite as good as it was a couple of years ago, but the photography is frequently beautiful, articles tend to be well-written, columnists are knowledgeable and entertaining (Sir Stirling Moss and Carroll Shelby have both been regular columnists in the past) and there's always a few articles on modern high-end cars, road trips, race meets etc to mix things up a little.

You can't go wrong with Car & Driver, one of my all time favorites.

I like Car and Driver - I've been a subscriber for a while now and it's always been witty and informative in its own unique way. They cover a good range of topics with excellent photography, and I think it's one of the most well-rounded car magazines on the market. I'd definitely recommend it!

Autocar, practical classic, classic & sports car, and agree with the above about car and driver.

Oh and Motorsport magazine is a good read, it covers old and modern race cars.

It's not a magazine but I've gone threw so many car web sites out there being a car fanatic the best car site out there for info is AUTOBLOG!
My two cent:)

The two i get regularly are 'Rod & Custom' and 'Hot Rod Deluxe'

I'll vote for Motorsport Magazine as the finest piece of monthly automotive literature out there. Pricey though, just keep that in mind.

yes guys thanks, there's some good ones to check here. im in the uk at the moment but the guy at the local paper shop reccons he can get hold of most things so ill be challenging him over the next few weeks i think
