Does anyone out there know EXACTLY how many cars are available in the PAL version?

I know the NTSC (US) version has 750... but I'm beginning to suspect some cars have been removed (a la GT3 :() for the PAL (Europe/Aus) version; when checking the US list, it mentioned 4 wheel drive ACURAS, an ACURA HSC 2004 prototype etc... none of which I've seen.

I've got 100% completion, so it isn't me doing missions/races that's the problem. And I have (to date) about 713 different cars.

Feedback on the correct PAL list number of cars (between us all, we should work it out ;)) would be very much appreciated... as I don't fancy sitting in the used car showrooms for the next 100 game years, looking for cars that don't exist...

Oh and before I get told "to check the back of the box" - it says "700 cars"... not very helpful..!
 
The Acuras you mention are Hondas in the PAL version. (I have Australian PAL version)

Famine has a PAL used car database which helps heaps as it says when each used car shows up in the showroom.

From my observations I would suggest that almost all cars that are missing are replaced with others.

I started with the NA version car list. Some cars have slightly different names but it is obvious they are the same car.

Some differences I have observed:

Acura DNX replaced with Honda Dualnote in PAL version
Acura HSC replaced with Honda Sports Concept
Nissan 240sx replaced with 200sx
Infiniti G20 does not exist in PAL version
Nissan Primera does
Mitsubishi 3000GT SL version is listed as SR in PAL version

I am in the position of owning all of the second hand cars listed by Famine. I do not know how many cars there are but if you own all the new ones then check Famine's list for any secondhand cars you have missed. Remember there are many versions of the Lancers, Skylines, RX-7s etc
 
I have a spreadsheet that lists what I think is close to the PAL list.

There are 737 cars listed but within that there are duplicates for those older cars that you can win and buy in the second hand car lots eg Mercury Cougar, Jensen Healey, Honda S500 etc

My view is that I want a second hand one and the one you win so therefore from my point of view they are different cars.

This is still a work in progress and has relied on the work of others eg Famine for used cars. See attachment.

I believe that the PAL version has 7 cars more or so than the US version. We have some Audis that are not in the US version, and some other European cars. The Acura HSC is in the PAL version, it's only a Honda HSC in the PAL version.:) I've got that car. Never drove it though...
