Hi guys A.R.C Classics will start this coming Friday :) I would ask that the drivers who are taking part please choose 5 of the cars from the 10 Classic Rally Cars available ... I chose Rally cars that were dated 1985 and before as the standard for Classic and not :p I hope everyone is ok with the 10 cars available to choose from as I think its a pretty damn good looking line up 👍

Anyway! .... Please choose 5 cars only from the 10 available, and if you are not taking part please dont mess up the poll by voting for no reason :dopey: Thanks guys :cheers:

The 5 cars with most votes by Thursday evening at 10pm GMT will be the cars taking part in the 5 race A.R.C classics :) Choose away and choose wise ;) The competition will consist of 2 Dirt races and 3 Tar races!

Yes I hope drivers will pair up into teams of 2 before the start date and post the team information to me in here also 👍 If some drivers can not find a driver to team up with then they can drive as a solo if they wish and I will put up 2 tables in the results for Solo and Team tallies.

voted, but WTF about what you all voted? if the stratos is in i'll retire before arc2 starts :ouch: and only so few votes for the delta, which is one of the best of them all, for me it is ...
anyways, i'll be entering - as he stated already - with my pal cyril, of whom i believe he's not everybody's pal anymore since recently :nervous:
about the team name indeed we need to decide, but i will suggest to him for us to be named 'weekly rallye suckers'.

@Bigracer, I agree with Ron. If you're not going to run whatever's chosen, please back out now (and expect the Stratos to be in, most folks quite like it).
 
Just voted. I'll run all the races for sure, although I'm probably not that fast I'll team with anyone who wishes.

with my DFP on dirt yet.

if everything is back to cool i'll shut up about 74 and i'm sorry i referred to it.
the stratos issue was off course a joke. that car is just not one of my favvies while the delta is.

For the last ARC only half the voters choose to participate, so actually I would have preferred you did the picking yourself Ron. But with everything rolling now, I can see it's a little late for that suggestion. :dopey:


Well anyway, for now it looks like only interested racers have voted. 👍 So maybe it'll turn out nicely anyway. :)

I see a member called Evo7GTA has voted! ... are you in A.R.C? as I have not seen you post in the interest thread or in this thread either :dopey: Obviously you read the first post and stuck to the choosing of 5 cars but if you are not taking part you really had no need to vote 💡

If you wish to take part then feel free to post so in here and if not I will put pen to paper and deduct your votes from the final poll results :sly:

P... You know I love you as far as a posh-yet-Northern fat lesbian hockey freak can love a wrongside-yet-Scots expert swearer, but... I also have to uphold the rules on this board and I can't treat people I like any differently - and you know this kind of thing is frowned upon here. Not just the personal attack, but the little swear-filter workround too. I understand your frustrations, but on GTP we need to keep it below a certain line, and your post wasn't there.

I don't think it's bad enough to warrant me clicking on all kinds of funky mod buttons, but please keep a lid on it while you're here - you can exercise your full right to vent on Rollers.

Well what can I say Andrew :dopey: Yes I did work around the swear filter with a single $ ... But in all fairness the post I replied to was made here at GTP and I replied to it here at GTP, I suppose I was slightly out of order with what you call a personal attack! but its better to be direct than be sly and have little tiny digs at someone as I was experiencing to provoke my reply.

I can't say I wouldn't reply in the same way again if someone sheet stirs again :sly: If it gets you clicking all the funky mod buttons then so be it mate ... I always wondered what it would be like to be on the receiving end of a posh-yet-Northern fat lesbian hockey freak flexing the old muscles at me :p 👍

I never jump in feet first without good reason but I understand that some rules have to be upheld :) I just wish some people would not put me in this situation in the beginning and everything would be hunky dorey as far as I'm concerned.

As I said, I understand the reasoning/motive behind your post and there's not an awful lot we can do about stirring - especially if it occurs elsewhere. Good to see you taking it as intended though.
 
i guess if ron behaves and i behave like good gtp chaps there's no need for anyone to use foul language and famine doesnt have to step in.
that's a promise from my side.
and i hope i'm still welcome to race in arc. if not i'd like to hear it now please.
 
ok ron thanks a lot - that's a relieve. i wouldn't sleep properly knowing this hickup couldn't be cleared up.

so when are we racing? i guess you've got the tracks lined up properly but just wait for the car choice poll to finish. if you want the results to be good (voters that are contestants in arc) maybe turn on the 'show who voted what' thingy.

good luck stewarding - now i do no rules i know how much fun it can be.

Race 1 will be posted on Friday 👍 If you want to see who voted for what cars then just click on the number of votes for example ... click the number 11 alongside the RS200 on the poll and you will be taken to a page where you can see what all racers voted for :)

I am pretty much used to hosting races now after 4 previous A.R.C's and a few other comps like six of the best also :)

Looking forward to racing Rally cars again 👍
 
I asked a kind mod to remove the votes cast by Leonidae and EVO7GTA and both have had the votes in the poll removed 👍 If by chance they return to actually take part then the moderator has kept a note of the deleted votes and will reapply them to the poll ;)

Sounds fun. Finally, some rally-driving... WRS doesn't get there enough.

I'll team up with anyone who'd like to, since accepting me as a teammate means lower scores :p. That of course, if I'm welcome here after the W74 thingy...


Looks like I'll have to delay the rally-spotrace I planned.

thanks for the work ron. i look forward to the teaming and driving the cars (except for the stratos :-). wondering what tracks you'll pick ... no voting there i presume.
