The reason the L500R is so much faster than the other cars in Daily Race B is because it starts with a full hybrid battery. With that battery, in laps 1 through 3, it can have the hybrid boost down an entire straight, easily overpowering any gas car. But on lap 4, when the battery is drained and only recharges through braking, it's not much faster than any other car! So the fix to the balance of Race B and any other future similar race is simple: just make hybrids start with an empty battery! This way, there's no need to ban any car or change the parameters of the race, just remove the unfair advantage of a built-in extra boost.

I believe the reason why the Peugeot VGT is so OP is that the game only takes into account the power generated by its internal combustion engine, while completely neglecting the power generated by its motors, hence why after the batteries drain, "it's not much faster than any other car" when held to the same regulations. This is definitely the case with modern LMP1 cars, quoted to have around 500HP, when in reality they make double that.

A simpler fix would be to just quote the combined output of both the ICE and electric motors for hybrid cars. After all, that's what they did for the Fit Hybrid, hence why it's not OP. The downside is that as a result, the Fit can only hang with cars of comparable power/PP for about four minutes before it rolls over and dies.

Balancing pure ICE cars and hybrids is tricky. If you played GT Sport, you'd know that there were many who were calling for Gr.1 to be split into more classes, because the hybrids by and large dominate it.
