A Smorgasbord of Deep Dish Ponies!

Decided to post a new thread, dedicated to my most precious... precioussss...
Deep Dish whips!

So here's the run d0wn...

From the moment I saw the Carbon R34, Whilst browsing tuners... I thought "OMG! IT'S THE RIM I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR!" But at first I didn't know how I could acquire such a rim, and I wanted it on EVERYTHING.

I could no longer stand rims that bulge out or look flat 👎... So I went through the long and painful process of buying "daily special" rims... over, and over again :grumpy: until i would make it to the AMU rim which I would then purchase... then I'd head over and drop the suspension to give my cars that... gnarly tuner look.

So after many, many hours, and countless game days, I've amassed a collection of cars that all sport the AMU rim, and I'd like to give you guys a glimpse of just how cool these cars are capable of looking.

So welcome to the Deep Dish Photo Gallery,
a thread dedicated to cars that aren't Carbon R34's, but are mysteriously riding on a new pair of Carbon R34 rims! (Apparently there must be a LOT of carbon R's out there sitting on cinder blocks!)

I'm going to kick this thing off by sharing the first 5 of my collection! (damn it took a long time to take the photos and upload them!) Starting from lowest output all the way up to the highest output!

If only they'd let you put them on the Daimler Motor Carriage... :sly:

Daihatsu Mira
what's 149 HP and probably would tip over if you actually tried to drift it? that's right, the Daihatsu Mira! it comes in first because it's the lowest output car that I have in my garage which is outfitted with AMU's. :)

Believe it or not, the Mira was actually easier to handle after adding ridiculous camber, and the lowest suspension height :odd:

I think the Daihatsu makes a pretty cool little tuner, it's what we'll call... a "grocery getter" :D

Ginetta G4
Where do I begin with this car? I can only say that it surprised the hell out of me in more than one way. It's second on the list of AMU'd cars in my garage at an amazing 419kg and 240 HP! With a Power/Weight ratio like that, it only gets better when we consider that the G4 looks awesome with a little TLC. 👍 I never would have expected the little G4 to be so mean looking dropped on a pair of AMU rims.

One of the best features of this car is the super-flush rear

IMG0013 by L!AM92, on Flickr

Best of all, is that this car really takes a cool stance when you drift with it, and it's light enough that it can actually pull it off! :D

Tommy Kaira ZZ-S
The ZZ-S comes in as the third car at 311 HP! A slightly higher performance car than it's horsepower seems to represent though, but it's also light. In hindsight, I think the body design for this car is awesome, but the stock wheels really throw the image off. After I added the AMU's on the otherhand... :mischievous:

IMG0022 by L!AM92, on Flickr

Radical stance! here's a view of the side profile

IMG0021 by L!AM92, on Flickr

TVR V8S
This was/is my favorite overall look when it comes to TVR's. I like the older body styling a bit more, it's a real low and powerful looking car especially from behind. It's the 4th car at 425 HP, but when I raced it in the TVR one-make races, it easily dusted Cerberas, Speed 6's and Speed 12's! So after rightfully earning it's place as my favorite TVR in this game, there was only one thing left to do... Make it look even meaner. :D

Love that billboard! it's like a GT add. 👍

IMG0023 by L!AM92, on Flickr

This one is just in preperation for the final car in this installment of my Delicious Deep Dish photo gallery (Triple-D gallery! ) Guess what's next? look to the billboard for answers.

IMG0024 by L!AM92, on Flickr

Last car for my first 5, and I saved the best (of these first 5) for... fifth? :odd: It too comes in at 425 HP, but it's lighter, handles better, and the AMU's fit this car all too well. The wheel diameter on this car is larger than the others, so it looks very flush with the deep rims. :) The Clio V6 not only owns it's racecar version by 10+ seconds, but also has incredible handling, which if tuned properly makes for an absolute monster drift car. :D
I'm so excited about this because in all of my time taking photos on GT4, i've never accidentally or purposely captured flames coming out of the pipes, until tonight! so here they are in all their glory 👍

So i've got a drift, smoke, and flames all in one

IMG0027 by L!AM92, on Flickr

Here's one to show the approach to the drift.

And here's one of the line

Last thing! here's a GIF i made of the drift

Oh, Sorry! I didn't know you would have to download them, i figured it would attach them as normal photos when i posted this...
I'll just have to go through and edit that!

I made all the links go to my flickr, so they won't have to be downloaded simply to view them :)
I couldn't figure out how to thumbnail them or put them on the post itself, got any suggestions?

I've merged both threads together. The whole point of the galleries forum is that a user has a gallery for their images, not different threads scattered throughout the forum.

Flickr will tell you how to thumbnail them or to make them appear here, but Flickr aren't too keen on hotlinking, so you could try these.

let's see... must have been this link...
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/liamnewell/8631160123/" title="IMG0037 by L!AM92, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8266/8631160123_729113d92f.jpg" width="375" height="500" alt="IMG0037"></a>

Right. Now edit your first post to have them like that and I'll tidy up the thread later.
