2,900lbs + 180hp wouldn't be bad at all for me, but only with the stick shift. My Altima's about the same, except with 100 more lbs or so, and 5 less ponies. I have no trouble getting around, getting other people to flip me off, whatsoever.

And like Azuremen, I also see bunch of tC's around. Not my cup of tea, but I think it's a (near)decent choice. He's right on on the snow thing, too. It's comical how Mustangs are all over the place as soon as snow accumulate around here. Are RWD sportscars really that hard to drive on snow?

No, most people are just idiots. And the coastal areas are way worse about it than where I am at, just because we get snow more often. The big issue most people seem to have with the snow isn't so much the drivetrain but the tires; they seem to think All Seasons actually are good for snow.

As for getting the MR-S around all winter, I had no problem. Same with my friend's Miata. Just snow tires + some throttle skill. But most people view it like my step-mom, with the "you'll die in 5 minutes if you have a RWD car and you'll never get anywhere." Hell, she made sure my first car wasn't RWD, and was extremely concerned for my when I bought the AW11. Similar concerns when I got the MR-S as well.

So, sales get hit hard because of this mindset. Which is why you'll see more SVX's here than 3000ZX or even 3rd gen Supras.

I don't know, I am use to hearing Miata's horrible in snow. To me, driver can almost make or break snow driving. At least around here!

Miata's are fun and fine in the snow. Provided you have reasonable tires. But you are also in the area that panics over 2 inches, if I recall. Seattle is hilarious with snow because simply no one has a clue what to do. Even the Police panic and put on chains.

Who Are the Ad Wizards Who Came Up With This One?

So, this would be the first convertible Celica tC, er, affordable sport convertible Toyota has had in more than a decade. Interesting move Toyota. Care to explain how you're going to address the presumably atrocious structural problems that your convertibles always have?

Hey hey, they made one that was quite nice. But almost any hard-top to convertible design suffers, from any manufacturer.

Oh dear lord, it's even uglier than the coupe.

I like it, but I can see why others wouldn't. I'll give you guys this one. :D
