I just noticed this on the little ticker when you put your cursor on GT Auto...

". . . Have you experienced our 'Gran Turismo Racing Special' power-boost oil? Not only old engines but even new cars are sure to benefit!! ON SALE right now! . . . "

How about that? Here we all thought this was supposed to be a secret trick and apparently nobody noticed that they advertise it right on the main screen! :p

But that's a good point. Who actually watches all those scrolling text things? Some of them are pretty darn funny. There's one for every car, and in all the settings options.

A lot of gaming magazines thought it was when GT3 first came out. I've seen it labeled as a cheat, a secret, a trick, and once as "a major glitch that ruins an otherwise great game". That little scroller just makes it clear that it was intentionally added.
 
Very interesting indeed, i had a feeling it couldn't be glitch, but couldn't be bothered checking :sleep: Maybe i should start reading them...
 
Well I have seen some of the text missing..... fx there is no text on the NSX type R ??? now what is that ?¿? a lille slappy maybe.

Odd... I noticed there was scroll text for the NSX Type-R, but not the S-Zero. It could be that some cars don't have them because Polyphony wasn't able to round up enough pertinent info on them, or because it was already covered with another variant of the car and would be redundant (and space consuming).

I admit I usually don't look at the tickers much because it's harder for me to stare at letters that are constantly moving then it is for me to read a whole screen full of small text (having a big TV solves that problem). But for the settings and such there is a lot of useful info that folks should pay attention to.
