First off I don't think it'll come close to F1. The cars aren't fast enough and the driver talent looks a bit lacking.

The race should be good though, will be nice to see some racing at Brands GP. Hopefully it'll be fairly close with a decent amount of overtaking.

The drivers look like wimpy little tarts. Girly blouse racers.

That's kind of the point. Notice how small jockeys are?

yeh will watch it, im not a big fan of F1, rarther watch GP2 or the Porsche super cup, or any type of touring car TBH, F1 is lacking the edge on close racing motorsport, even rally where there is only one car at a time and has more overtaking than F1 :D

I will miss it to because i have till training on sunday at work, but im taping it so il watch it after i get home. I think it will be amazing.

lol @ Sprite for the WRC overtaking comment

Goddamn I'm going to miss it :(

Yes but don't they need more muscle to take the Gs?

520hp with some "interesting" aerodynamics (they want to have as small a "dirty air zone" behind each car as possible) means that, though cornering forces will be as high as you'd expect in a single-seater, they won't be anywhere near F1 levels.

I'm not sure how long the races are either. I doubt they'll be 200 miles/2 hours like F1.

I beleive its a 2 race format.

EDIT: Yep it is, sprint and feature.

BRANDS HATCH SPRINT RACE

Circuit length 2.622 miles
Number of laps 18 laps
Total race length 47.196 miles
Probable lap time 1 m 10s (based upon 1986 F1 record of 1.09, a 91 F3000 record of 1.13 and an 02 F3 record of 1.18)
Probable race time 21 minutes

BRANDS HATCH FEATURE RACE

Circuit length 2.622 miles
Number of laps 38 laps
Total race length 94.392 miles
Probable lap time 1 m 10s (based upon 1986 F1 record of 1.09, a 91 F3000 record of 1.13 and an 02 F3 record of 1.18)
Probable race time 43 minutes (including pit stop but assuming no safety car periods)

I'll bet on Netherlands, Jos Verstappen is a veteran.

Should be intresting since all cars are the same so its all down to driver skill.

Yeah, Verstappen never really had a good car behind him. But Team GBR have been topping the test leaderboards so heres my predictions.

1: NED
2: GBR
3: GER

Oh I reckon A1 GP will be able to take on F1, since its all the same cars. Better racing and better for the future of young racing drivers.

Who want to be on a big stage. I hope GBR will win A1 GP.

And thank God. One of the major problems with F1 is that the races are too long. The races are bound to be dull. How often do you get a good 2 hour race on GT4? Then there's the number of races where the overtaking happens in the pits.

It's about time SOMEONE challenged F1...

I hate short races, F1 races are a good length in my opinion and A1GP is way too short 👎

The shorter the races the better, then its more of a challenge trying to get any of the top 3 postions in A1 GP.

I see short races in V8 Supercars, I dont like it. the enduro V8 supercars (like 500km's) are great. I cant imagine A1GP short races being any better compared to long races.

Single Seating racing is a much more different style of racing then V8 Supercars.

Obviously, but that doesnt change the fact that I dont like short races.

Boy A1 cars are slowwwwwwwwwwwww. Its boring aswell its putting me to sleep and stupid SKY TV doesnt even put up splits on the TV. They just show the country in 1st positions time and then doesnt show ay of the other teams times and it doesnt show the cars times as they go around the track.

Stupid sport.

Man, they have slow computers! "We'e just waiting for the results of that lap"...2 minutes later they arrive.

Yeah the cars did look quite slow, but I think they look awesome.

Great to see that the F1 drivers aren't all they're cracked up to be. Their only excuse could be lack of drive time because of other commitments.

Why is everyone complaining? Its bloody fantastic! I had the intention tonight of watching Brazilian GP qualifying but occcasionally flick to the A1.....that went wrong, im hooked on the A1 and i have the rare flick to the F1 every time it goes to adverts on A1. Its awsome.

Eh A1 qualyfing started at 2 and f1 didnt start till 5. Oh and its bloody boring especially how sky sports presented it and its a crap track aswell.

I should have added i was working all day so i caught the highlights, both started at 11:30pm.
