I am sOOOO pissed-off right now !!!!

I have just spend the whole morning on the super license and finished all of the tests with bronze except the last one with the Toyota Gt-1! I must have tried for over 2 hours on that one last test ! I just can"t do it :( I have watched the demo about 10 times and raced it for a long time but I'm always atleast 1-2 seconds off ! #$*ù%

The thing is that I really need this super license to get my F-1 car. Im sick and tired of doing endurance races and always getting the wrong car :( Does anyone have any advice for that last test (don't expect so , but you never know)???

ah, vented my anger, I feel better allready, hope i didn't waste any of your valuable time.

sorry, nothing to suggest myself (like I could GIVE advice)

But have you checked out www.gamefaqs.com? They have loads of Gran Turismo guides, Im sure one of them must cover getting golds for S license. worth a shot anyway.
 
thx , many useful gamfaqs but they only have them for the A-license and the B-license. I guess the best thing you can do is just keep trying ... so close and yet so far away ;)
 
If you use automatic gears, try holding the gearshift button. That way you can keep the car in third gear during the corners. Thus the car don't use all the power for during un-needed burnouts.

(I think that most of the corners are to be taken in third gear, but it is a while since i've done this test, and it might be second gear, i don't really remember..) But DON'T use 1st gear, right ;)

Try braking when the little red dot next to the gear is flashing.. (I hope you know which one i'm talking about..)

i'm sure you know that you can turn off the ghost by hitting select.. 'cos it might be in the way sometimes..

When you get angry, or frustrated take a break. Try again some hours later - You might run into some cool results then.

Another thing, - You might want to try it with MANUAL gear, sounds crazy, but it worked for me...:)
 
Deffo, manual gears. It's not exactly a big ask, you only have to change gear about three times in the whole lap! Do it in 3rd/4th, with a brief spurt in 5th up the hill, and in 2nd for the Loews/Grand Hotel hairpin.

I'd suggest you always use MT! AT is lame, especially if you're trying to get results!! :lol:
 
Defintally do MT for this one..I use AT all the time, but u need MT for this on. After those harpins keep it in 3rd so you dont spin your wheels...after you've completed the turns downshift into second and them just shift normally.
 
I usually drive MT anyways so I will definitly try this! thx for all the tips ! I also didn't know that you could keep an AT in a specific gear with L2 or R2 :)

What? You mean the S-8 test? I whizzed by that the second time I tried... and trust me, I'm pretty awful! :D

NEway, as others have said, go MT. Monaco is the most absolute terrible course to use AT in... you will find it so much easier with a MT, since you can down-shift BEFORE you enter a corner. ;)
