Having just ordered a G27 earlyer today, I looked around the threads here and I seem to be finding many people with issues with there wheels. My DFGT is fine. My question is, is there a high chance that mine will malfunction, I really hope not as I am 14, I get 4 pounds an hour where I work and this is a big chunk from my savings.

Answers would be appreciated, thanks.

In all honesty I've read more problems with DFGT's on there than G27's. I myself am on my 5th DFGT now. One good thing is that Logitech has good customer service though, and they've taken care of me quickly with no hassle each time I've needed a replacement.

I guess so. When I said my DFGT is fine, I really meant my third one is fine :)
Thanks very much for the reply.

My G27 is awesomesauce. Anyway its Logitech, so if there is an issue they'll just ship you out another one.

Don't worry about stuff that hasn't happened yet! You've got plenty of time for stuff to actually happen that you will need to worry about...

Do.. no.. worry. G27 is one of the safest purchases when it comes to wheels. Plus as mentioned logitech support is usually very good.

I take it you're not in the US if you just ordered a G27. I was all excited to finally order one yesterday and nobody has them in stock anywhere. In the end Fanatec got my money. I figured I'd rather have a wheel that was made in Germany than one in China anyway.

Anyway, though I've never owned one, I've used my brother's G27 many times and it's a really solid wheel. Helical gears are very durable, and I sure put his wheel to some stresses and it's still working like new after a year.

IIRC Fanatec wheels are manufactured in China.

Dude the only thing German about the Fanatec wheel is the guy collecting your money and the logo on the wheel. That's where the "german" stops,as far as manufacture goes you can attribute that to that great country China you seem to love. Gutted?

And wait on? Fanatec got your money because you had to order a G27 ? You can't just walk into a shop and buy a Fanatec either... Fanatec shipping to you would be no quicker than Logitech ? Anyways good just to have a wheel and be enjoying it aye. :D

Thanks for the replies everyone, I do tend to worry about things unnessaceraly. :)
That's a good thing as long as it doesn't become obsessively and the worries start to control your life.

Don't worry about the G27. It's a good wheel. The question is, are you willing to spend your money on a new and more expensive wheel.

G27 wheels have very few problems. I dont know how Logitech's customer service is in Europe but they are great in the US so if you do on the off chance have problems, they will be good about taking care of you.

I have a Logitech Drifing Force for over 6 years now without a problem
I have a Logitech DFGT for two years now without a problem
But the problem I have with the G27 is that I dont own one :(
