About chrome line cars

I am condsidering of buying a collector's edition (at a great price) just to get the cars. By using the code out of the box in my own save game which is from the beggining of GT5 will it work? Or is it somehow bind in the new CD? It will probably work but I want to be sure!
 
I'm pretty sure it will work...
 
It will work but there not worth it, try looking for the stealths instead but they also dont have many advantages, the F1 has downforce but cannot be tuned as high and suffer lack of wieght loss and the GTR is good, they all look great though. I have all 6 and rarely use the chromelines but on odd occasions do use the stealths.
 
Stealth were only in signature edition?
 
I'm pretty sure my code had an expiry date on it. I think it was the end of this year? I'm not too sure.

The end of 2012.
 
It will work if ur blu ray disc and ur collector edition is from the same region code. All accounts on the same ps3 will get the cars after download including psn u set for other countries. All start from 0/0/0 for every account even if u have used it in another account. The expiry is 2013 for collector edition 2. Speaking from first hand experience for Asia collector pack 2.
 
What I cant remember is collectors had chrome line but stealth were in signature? Or was there another version?
 
Depends on region of origin. If I remember right (which i ain't sure), european signature edition has all 5 chromeline and 5 stealth. US collector edition has 5 chromeline. For Asia, the collector pack edition 2 has 5 chromeline and 6 stealth. I have one of these.
Euro also happen to have stealth/chromeline XJ13 from some online game. The Asia collector pack is made in HongKong while Asia edition GT5 is made in Japan. Both are mutually compatible.
 
I can get gt5 collector's edition for 29 euro and signature for 89.

29 is ok since i can sell the unused disc after but 89 is a bit too much since the competition is now over... I'm thinking of it!
 
Our collector's edition came with the code for the chromeline cars, and a Stealth AMG SLS.

I don't use any of the cars, but they look pretty good.

I also have the Edge Special Camaro.

Collectors Edition = Chrome Line cars

Signature Edition = Stealth models and Chrome Line cars

I will say that the Signature Edition was worth it.
I use most of my Stealth cars all the time. 👍
 
Chromeline cars were handy when starting the game. However if you have played and built a decent garage. I would say not worth it. Save the money for DLC.
 
You're buying it new right? If it's used, make sure you contact the seller and confirm that the chromeline codes have not been redeemed. Also, don't they have an expiration date on them?

Oh wait, I see. Some of them won't expire till next year of December...

I'd have to agree. Unless you're a nut with collection, I'd definitely save it for DLC.
