I've came up with an idea, not sure if it's even possible...

Sometimes I ser people starting threads like "what cars u want to see in gt6!" Do they create these for fun? Or do they just hope a GT6 developer reads this topic...

Is there a way we can contact PD and ask for updates? If a large group of players work together , maybe we can catch their attention!

So basically I think all of u would seeing the 1/4mile returning , the timing system!
This would improve dragracing again

Sl let's hope we can somehow contact them , through email , facebook, others....
Once we have reached a decent amount!

Do you mean the speed test from GT5?
If so, I'm in!👍
Not only that but also make a real drag strip...come on PD, can you please hear our feedback? I can guarantee you that 75% of your customers are into drag racing so we are the ones who bought this game... Why don’t you make a survey and you will see, ask around who likes drag racing or look at your online lobbies and you will see..

That's true. If I search online lobbies for Indy, 90% of the rooms I see are drag rooms. The other 10% are like NASCAR lobbies. I bought this game mainly for Drag Races. They should make a real drag strip, and a speed test just like in GT5. I don't bother paying for it as a DLC, I don't care...

Whats holding them back is ,Japanese dont drag race, and whether you want to believe it,the majority of the people who play GT,dont drag race. If and when a dragstip comes, thats gonna leave a lot of you hotshots in the dust,as a real dragstrip will not favor those with a wicked connection to the server. GT5 has GT6 beat as far as tuning goes, almost every variety of cars, less the transmission, have all the same tuning characteristics.Im about to be done with it for that fact alone, about all my FR cars are exactly the same setups, less tranny, and that is so stupid to me.

What the 🤬 are you talking about ummmm have you heard about the hks cars..... or how bout when japan were running low 7s in l.a in the early 2000s

Do you see any Japanese in the NHRA,the only credible drag racing association in the world? No. You ever built or driven a drag car? No. Do you know anything about what youre talking about? No.Show me a Japanese face in the NHRA.

I will most likely be the sole person who does not want the speed test back. It ruined GT5 for the fact that someone with little to no knowledge of tuning can jump onto Route X and, within a half hour, have a tune that will be competitive by just plugging in numbers without knowing how it affects the cars' suspension or transmission. I know why my cars react in GT6; I know why the body rolls more in a turn, or why a gear winds out too fast. I know how to adjust for more or less grip without changing tires. Some of us like test & tune on Indy, running against someone else. I can't be the only one who wants an individual tune that is unique from the other guy.

That aside, I would like a proper multiplayer drag strip with a tree, reaction times, 0-60ft times, E.T.s, and picking which lane to run the pass. If you jump the tree, you lose the race. Bracket races & championships with credit prizes for top 3 contenders. If we're going to wish for anything, that would be it.

First, do you know anything about me? no does my father have a race car ? yes..... I even showed pics of it. 2 weeks ago I finally heard it scream.

Also, back in the 90s early 00s there was a such thing IDRC where all of the import racers that time made them selves a name. Guys like Vinny Tenn, Pepe Loco and Lisa Kubo etc etc......

So with that being said thanks for making an 🤬 out of yourself AGAIN.........

BTW here's a story about an Japanese american drag racer in the NHRA...........

I am the same exact way. Anyone can tune at SSRX, and really it came down to who put more time into a tune was faster. And anyone could do it. I enjoy tuning at indy because its harder and you never know how fast other people are. I'm with you there shake, I am Glad they left speed test out!

+1 for PD 👍

Here we go again. lol.

If you blokes are scared of a speed test, then its your own tuning ability that needs to be questioned.

Id rather know someone spent half an hour tuning his own car with a test to confirm his improvements, than yet another " I need tune thread ".
Why condone that? Good luck to them if they are prepared to do a little of their own homework.

And if speed test tunes don't relate to Indy, as is being suggested, there shouldn't be a problem racing one. You should in fact be happy to ran a SSRX tune with your far better suited Indy tune.

The leader board resulting from the test causes most of the issues, not the test itself.

There are probably hundreds of people who are not even members or AWARE of this website that could probably WAX many of the "best" on here. The online leaderboard on here is an attempt to justify and rank everyone who is involved or up to date with this website. This leaderboard does not apply to the entire GT6 drag racing community.

Have Grand Turismo put up a leaderboard that logs the best 1/4 mile times and with what car. And that is a legitimate leaderboard.

I would say that it is safe to assume that most of the best tuners are active members on here.

I have to agree; MOST of the top tuners aren't here on GTP. Most of the self proclaimed 'professional tuners' here on GTP are bench tuners. They will give everyone else advice and act like they know it all but run them online and it's quite embarrassing. My online leaderboard is just me trying to add some organization and purpose to running around online racing people 👍

I personally think what your doing is kinda neat. Getting everyone fired up. Good way to keep the community alive.

Speedtest tunes work fine at Indy as long as you dont go and put a tranny designed for absolutely the lowest E.T. in it,like what was once called a "retro" tranny.

Your a little off there.
Most "retro" tunes did work online.... Only difference was the gear you launched in. For the most part, the difference in ET was marginal at best.

But it was also easy to make an extremely fast SSRX tune that was completely useless at Indy.
The dreaded can't QS 1st to 2nd & bog as a 2nd gear launch tunes were the main culprits.

Name and shame!?!?!....because all that did was belittle everyone here. ( let the bitchfest begin. lol )

Never mind, I agree on some stuff and not on other, I just don't have the time to argue. Hope everyone enjoys their GT6 experience to the fullest. Be it on Speed test or on Indy. Have fun guys!

I would love a speed test therefor i can break down how badly i beat you or vice versa.
You can use it as an data logger including a way to find a more precise shift.
