Brake lightly as much as possible, avoid sliding, don't drive on the limit in the turns (take turns slower), limit wheelspin as much as possible, steer as smoothly as possible, don't do sudden braking/acceleration.

Also harder tires last longer, but are less grippy.
Which also means hard tires skid a lot, which are quite hard to do tire saving on as a result. I like to think you can push with hards, but with softer tires drive easy
