How 'bout it? I think it would be a good idea if this was put into affect. There are just too many threads that say the same thing over, and over again.
Once again, how 'bout it?

I doubt it would help. Only because most of the people who make double, triple, quadruple, and quintuple threads don't know how to read and/or would just make the thread anyway even with that popup in effect.

I can see where that would be a good idea, I will seriously consider it for the next version of the site. As we all know, as GT4 gets closer, this problem will become more and more prevalent. As Klos said, however, it might not be that effective.

Yeah, it could be like that thing that used to be here before saying, "think about your post, GTP is only as good as you make it", except to have to do with the search function...

I doubt that would work, in that those "wanna b drIfta d00d" type members would who usually stick to the drift forum may not know what the search function is, and when they venture out of the drift forum and create a thread somewhere else, will not have searched first.

Just an opinion.

OR You could setup an auto search feature, or script.
Right after they click on "post new thread" they should open a new window for your broswer. If the script cannot detect a similar thread, then the thread can be opened..
How's that?

Poeple might just rename the thread to something to something else! Plus it may match words in the title of the thread and not let you post it, even though the words are used in totally different contexts! So it might be a little hard, But then again what do i know? :odd:
