thank god I saw this thread. I couldn't figure out what was going on my last couple races. I also thought I was losing my mind.

So has anyone found a benefit from using racing brakes? Or do you just have to lower your BB?

Brake fade at all???

I am faster with racing brake :) Feel so much better, after driving my J's S2000, driving my stock Countach '88, the brakes feel mushy and under powered with 9/2 BB.

Just noticed something odd. Same BMW M3 GT2 car w/stock racing brakes-Free Run mode it locks up too easily even at 1/0. Then did an Arcade Single Race and the sensitivity was extremely different. Could use so much more pedal. I stopped the race to see if ABS was on as the difference was so profound. It was not on. I could run a B/B of 6/2 and it felt great-lockup could still occur but only with much pedal. Yet to try online or in the career races.

Racing brakes are completely broken without ABS. Even with BB at 0/0 they'll still lock up at 200mph with around 40% pressure.

That plus the seeming lack of actual BB adjustment despite changing the setting that @NCRthree is talking about is heavily restricting my enjoyment of the game.

Most cars with standard brakes in races are amazing though. 👍

After 1.02 I noticed a huge change exactly like OP said. I am talking non racing brakes, ABS 0. I could leave BB at 5/5 and it worked great. After patch it felt like the old GT5 brakes were slapped on every car making me reduce BB to 4/3 or 5/3 or whatever, and I also had to re-adjust mt load cell to be less sensitive (so I have to press harder for the same affect).

I use CSR elite pedals with a load-cell, and before the patch I was loving the brakes without ABS.
I think racing brakes are only meant for racing tires, probably racing softs, and probably only on race cars with down force. I tried them once and it was ridiculous.

Something really weird is going on. Not 4 hrs ago I ran a car with ABS 0 and a B/B of 6/2. Arcade mode TT. No lockup issue at all. Then a few moments ago I try the same exact set up and I'm getting instant lock up. Car basically un- drivable

So..., i read all post and i can understand one thing - the higher the setting on the breaks gives u more pedal travel till lock up or opposite? I usually use 2/1 and the lockup is horrible (i pres the break less then 1 centimeter) on the new cars, the old ones are ok. Never tried with higher numbers, because 5/5 is making lockup even with slight touch on the break. I don't know what PD is thinking but the most cars even with ABS, break balance 2/1 feels and become uncontrollable when breaking, and without ABS there is no breaking feel at all, because the pedal travel is so low till lockup. They need to fix this.

I'm pretty sure there's a bug with 'free-run' and 'practice' modes in GT6, card lock up far more easily in these modes than in a race. I'm sure if you enter that car in a race it will be back to normal. 👍

Hopefully PD will fix this and the unusable racing brakes soon, because they're game breaking for me. 👎

Is this only affecting wheel input ? I am using stick, and so far my J's S2000 behave exactly the same when racing offline - arcade and IB event, as well when tuning using test drive under garage. Brakes stays the same BB, and requires the same input percentage ( brake bar filled )
