Anyone else seeing this, or is it just me?

This is from the Japanese Classics Seasonal, but I'm getting the problem in the Rally Special Event as well. It's blinding, I can barely see the road, and enabling the driving line is no help at all.
It is not my TVs brightness, and it doesn't seem to be the in-game exposure:

It's an actual solid white area...

Anyone else? Is there another brightness/exposure setting I'm missing? It was fine pre-2.01.

It's a widespread problem, so I have the same flare. Toscana was always known to have ridiculous flare during the daytime. I did noticed going into cockpit view reducing it a tiny bit.

I would have to say it's worse in cockpit view:

It's the reason I'm using chase cam to see more of the road :yuck:.

Was it always this bad? I don't remember it being this hard to see pre-2.0.

This problem exists for quite some time now. When Exposure is set to values lower than 0.0 EV you'll get blinded by the sun. Setting Exposure (Brightness) to 0.0 EV or higher solves the problem.

Ah, this did indeed solve the problem. 👍
Though I wouldn't say it's accurate, wouldn't more exposure allow more sun/light? It seems to brighten everything else on the screen yet lower the brightness of the sun. Strange...

There's also a huge difference of glare between different cars, and that's very annoying. :odd:

I did the Aiger time trail first in the new Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X Touring Car, no problems at all. 👍

Then I switched to the Subaru IMPREZA WRC 2008 '08 & I couldn't do one full lap because I've got in the car a really pervert glare. I couldn't see the road the most time! 👎

At last I picked the fastest car for the track, the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Super Rally Car '03, no problems at all. 👍

There's definitely something big wrong with the glare system. It can't be that some cars getting practically useless for some tracks! They should fix it. :dunce:

Note: I played in cockpit view only.

The difference could be the rake of the windscreen. Some cars are going to be worse in real life. We need the option of changing to our driving glasses in game! :D

I wrote a little story a couple of years ago about how GT5 would play out, involving a small real life track in America which towards sunset would aim you at one point right into it and partly blind you. It seems that both Turn 10 in Forza and Polyphony with GT picked up on that and used it themselves.

It should be a nuisance, but not that different with some cars.
