Academy DLC problem

I've just downloaded and installed all the DLC that came in the Academy Edition onto my PS3 via PSN. I've disconnected to go offline and afterwards I cannot access most of the DLC that Ive installed (ive checked more then once-they've been installed in the game). The tracks wont show up except for the speed test and I can't drive the MX5 TC that I just brought from the dealership, all I get is a message telling me to download it again.

Ive never downloaded DLC from PSN before so Im a bit lost at the moment. Please tell me that like Xbox Live, DLC on PSN can be played offline without having to connect to PSN.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
 
If this was the first DLC, you might need to download the free family upgrade via Playstation Store.
 
Family upgrade? Where would I find that?

I downloaded a system update when I first connected before I was allowed to create a psn account and then the 227mb GT5 update before I downloaded and installed the content off the disc.
 
So I checked my DLC again the track pack is listed as 'installable' and yet Ive already installed it.
 
You still have to download and install the DLC even though it's on the Academy disc? That's really poor, the game should be modified so it's all in the game already, like every other 'complete' edition game does.
 
It does seem really odd how PD packaged the new content on the disc.
 
You can find the upgrade-package under Playstation Store - game addon's - (i can't remember which letters, but G is between those two) - Gran Turismo.

Thanks. I'll give that a try but I'm still wondering why my profile says that all dlc has been downloaded and installed and yet parts of it haven't and aren't playable. It's just silly.

Found it! Solved my problems accessing the Racing Car pack and the Track pack although the problem still exists for the Car packs with Aventador etc because I couldnt find a family pack for them. Not too fazed about those smaller car packs as Im more interested in the racing cars.

Thank you so much for you help I genuinely appreciate it.

Now Im off to Spa with my MX5 Touring Car :)
