Since Kunos did not include every vital bit of information in the game (yet),
this collection of useful links and guides may be interesting for some new pretend race car drivers.

Aris Drives (youtube channel from Aristotelis, physics developer at Kunos), very helpful videos (the tl;dw series for people who are in a hurry)

Unofficial (and incomplete) ACC-Wiki:
https://www.acc-wiki.info/wiki/Main_Page

ACC User Guide v1.0. This guide is incomplete and ACC introduced some new things in later versions (like chassis flex, different brake pads...) which are not covered here.. but it's a good starting point. Current version is v1.4.4 on PC

Here you will find a setup guide for beginners by Skaven Zverov:
https://sta.sh/01ombcsztncq

If you are registered in the ACC forum you can download a PDF file of the guide here:
https://www.assettocorsa.net/forum/index.php?threads/setup-guide-for-beginners.64264/

An easy to use fuel calculator for ACC:
https://mythiq.net/fuelcalc/

An app for fuel strategy: https://sylvainvillet.github.io/acc_strategist/#/
Also available on Google Play as phone app: just search for "ACC strat". It should pop up immediately.

Feel free to extend the collection with more useful links and videos.

There is some really good info in there.
Like the length of the central bar in the tyre display (relative to the inside and outside bars) indicates your tyre pressure relative to ideal.

They really have built a lot of detail into this game. Actually i should probably call it a sim, it's feeling like game doesn't really do it justice

There is a good wheel guide with suggested baseline settings for all compatible wheels. I have gone with their recommendation for T300RS and it feels really good

The only problem, as widely known now, is that you have to change the steering lock per car on console for the noment, whereas its automatic on PC.

Damn I never would have noticed that.

On the PS4 a bit of the HUD widget/s is cropped...namely the race duration widget (as the timer counts down per session) at the top during race. One of the things I was looking for is how to scale the HUD to fit on screen so everything shows without cropping.

In one of the HUD instructions I came across there was a scaling slider at the top of those settings for doing so. So off I went searching for it on my PS4 console. But apparently it wasn't included. That's a bummer. Probably the slider is there for PC but not console or PS4.

check the scan options from your TV. Sounds like the TV zooms the picture in.
I read some cases where some settings from the TV (and the HDMI input) resulted in a cropped image. Maybe test the HDMI input you use without any additional settings and test all ratio settings manually

My screen was cropped initially with TV set to 16:9 but it is fixed now I have changed the setting to Fit

What setting did you change it to on the TV in order to fit? Or is it that there's a setting on the TV described as "Fit"?
My TV is a Sony Bravia 40". It's a smart TV but a couple years old now though.

TV is a Samsung LA37B530P7FXXY and the display setting is indeed called "Fit"

Thanks. I checked mine. The closest equivalent I could see under Settings: Screen is there's an option for display area named "Auto Display Area"...That is selected to "On". The description says "Automatically adjusts the viewable screen area based on the signal".

This YT channel has some proper in depth track guides... massive help for me to learn the proper way round Paul Ricard... cut whole seconds off my lap times, something that would have taken hours of trial and error on my own.

Funny to see Yorkie make non pcars related videos again. At some point in the last years SMS hired him and he wasn't allowed to post videos other than pcars related on his channel anymore. Seems like this changed 8 months ago.

Here is another very good track guide series which I have followed myself. This one is a little different in that he shows everything from inside the cockpit while driving, often slowing down the action and always stopping completely to show brake points. In his later videos he also enlarges the throttle and brake inputs so it's easier to see.

We need this information also for GT4 class cars... please!

FanaLab led profiles for every car in ACC. This gets Fanatec wheel leds to match ingame car leds with correct rpm's, colours, flags and everything. So much better then the standard Fanaled option from the game. Make sure you only load the leds if you dont want to change your other settings.
